melb airport only will accept uber back, my cost was cheaper than a cab
if you want UberX from Syd or Melb airport, set your pickup point just away from the airport and then once you have a driver assigned call or text them that you're actually at the airport. Easy as

quick question for an uber newbie: does Melbourne have any standard uber taxis (i.e. not X or black?)? Howsabout Sydney? I'm just struggling to see decent value on estimated fares between Tullamarine and CBD, but have only been quoted uberblack fares.
