The best offer is for the Melbourne Star. $18 for adult or kid tickets. Aug 24-30, 10AM-3PM. Mention Melbourne Day Special at ticket booth. Normal price is $34 for adults and $20 for kids. The prices are pretty ridiculous.

  • Polly Woodside Tall Ship - 25% off on 30 August, from 10am to 4pm (last entry at 3.15pm).

For the aquarium, you can save the hassle of getting a flyer by printing out one of these Buy 1, Get 1 Free offers. The Entertainment Book ($65) offers Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals for the Old Melbourne Gaol, Polly Woodside, and Melbourne Star so if you have one, then much of this deal is probably not for you.

    Melbourne Day is this Sunday

    Let's hope so…

    • @$9 probably not a bad punt to put $10 on the Dees!
Weirder things have happened in footy. Especially when there's a chance of showers for some scrappiness.

      • Weirder things such as what happened to Melbourne four days ago! I wouldn't be putting money on a team that can't beat a team that has been torn apart by greed and lost both its captain and psycho nemesis coach earlier in the season. Melbourne is done.

        • Captain is still there

        • @jv: Oh whoops my bad, I meant ex captain, two time brownlow medalist, and general leader of the team (hence why he's now on the board for picking new players). :)

That said, Murphy dislocated his shoulder in the 3rd quarter of the game against Melbourne, right when Melbourne looked like they were having a bit of a comeback.. but it still wasn't enough!

Or you can go to the new Melbourne jail, for free…

"Free sails on the Enterprize" is a sailing ship.worth the wait.

    http://www.enterprize.org.au/

    • Thanks, but I'll wait for the E model.

  • Best offer is for the Melbourne Star? It's a playground ferris wheel compared to the London Eye or the Singapore Flyer. I wouldn't pay more than a few dollars to go on it and that's only if I happened to pass that way.

    • London Eye - 135m
      Singapore Flyer - 165m
      Melbourne Star - 120m

To be fair, the wheel is comparable to others in size. I think the bigger issue is the location (and price). Maybe 20 years from now when E-Gate is developed, it will be a different story.

      • It's a flop not just because of where it's located but its design makes it look like an oversized fairground ferris wheel instead of an elegant observation wheel.
