Normal price around $160. Cheapest according to statice and cheaper than amazon at the moment. Good price to upgrade

Tall heatspreaders are SO annoying! Mostly because it's not necessary, it's just trying to make the high end products look better. Grr.
:(
That RAM in that photo looks different to the Corsair one. You're gonna need a case that has a very high clearance if you want to elevate the fan towards the top.
GeIL 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3 Black Dragon C11 1600MHz also only $59

Much better value.
CL11-13-13-35,with unknown brand?
ADATA's ram is usually on the insanely expensive side of the equation. I bought the 2600mhz ADATA for 145 only a day ago, today it's cheaper by another 20 dollars.
that's pretty good, but my ram is faster, 2133mhz 10-10-10, while the adata average latency is 12.3 (11+13+13/3=12.3), so the response of each ram would be:
10/2133 = 00.00468
12.3/2600= 00.00474Bottom line, when the difference is 0.00006, you know it doesn't matter, lol.
I've been watching PCCG like a hawk for reductions in price on these (well, I would prefer the LP version, but anyway). Might finally get to pull the trigger. Cheers.
There was a deal on the LP stuff from ShoppingExpress last month (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/203265), for what i thought was a good price then, but it looks like DDR3 is starting to tumble down in price. Possibly keep an eye out over there as well
any deals on laptop ram?
Not sure if it's a deal, but I ordered a 2x8GB DDR3L kit for A$128.39 deliverd from NewEgg on Friday, tracking says it should be delivered today.
prices coming back down to when I bought my 16gb 1866 cl10 ram a few years ago for $105 :)
Don't buy this if you have a Noctua NH-D15.
