These are just cheap, crappy Chinese watches like Invicta. Ignore the over-inflated RRP - they are absurd. The watches in the link are fugly or homages with no street cred. Spend a bit more coin on a cheap Orient, Seiko, Citizen, Casio etc. Sorry to be negative, just being honest.

Even the watches you mentioned are not very good compared to Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, chopard, roger dubois etc but i get your point. If you are not that into watches at least get something swiss made.

You will not be able to get any "Richemont" league watches at the pricing on this post of USD59.99. I think ilikeit was trying to find an alternative to the price point of the posting for a comparable comparison. If you do find that pricing for "Richemont" - it is highly likely that it is a "replica" of some sort.

A Stuhrling buyer is not cross-shopping with PAMs, IWC etc. If you're not into watches… get a quartz.

That aviator looks horrible but it has nothing on this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206147

That invicta Aquadiver is a cheap sea dweller clone; Orient Mako would be my choice of diver at that price point.

If you're not into watches…. get an apple watch

+1, for the apple watch comment

  • guys while we are at it, can i have some suggestion on the following watches?

Orient Men's FDB08005W "Esteem" Stainless Steel Watch with Brown Leather Band
    http://www.amazon.com/Orient-FDB08005W-Esteem-Stainless-Leat…

Parnis Men's Automatic Watch Flywheel Energy Display Seagull St2505 Movement
    http://www.amazon.com/Parnis-Automatic-Flywheel-Display-Move…

Parnis Portugal Style Men's Automatic Watch Seagull Movement St25 Power Reserve Sapphire
    http://www.amazon.com/Parnis-Portugal-Automatic-Movement-Sap…

basically i am looking for a bang on a budget automatic watch.

i had seen review about the Orient one having better finish, and they use their own in-house manufactured movement.

for the Parnis, i am tempted as they have sapphire cover. but i know little about the movement.

Any suggestion would be welcome! thank you all in advance!

      @Tyler Kwok
A quick search on the watch subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/) returns this (https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/1hl3jg/blue_orient…)
Personally, I'd go for the Orient.
Cheap, simple, elegant design and well made from what I hear. No personal experience with them, as yet, but I think that's about to change courtesy of you posting that link ;-)

Have a look at this mate as it is very similar to the styles you linked. Plus, the Orient Bambino is famous. At a US $105.68 it is amazing. Much better than any Parnis. Parnis is actually not a "brand" as you and I know it. It is a name used by several different Chinese watch factories. That means, differnet levels of quality and tolerances. Also, don't get a Parnis of Amazon - go straight to the Chinese websites: http://www.manbushijie.com/c/parnis_0365

  • Realised after I'd posted that I should just reply to Tyler. I haven't used OzB in a while.

    • lol but thanks a lot for the info! i am also leaning towards the orient one
