Received a notification from one of the groups on LinkedIn about this deal which looks quite decent one and good prices. I googled Career Academy and there are positive reviews about them and the quality (at least on demo lectures) way better than any other ones i have seen. Hope some people benefit from it.

I thought you cannot sit the VMWare certification exam without doing their in-class course?

    • That's correct. You can still use this material to pre-train yourself before you attend the course though.

    • That is incorrect actually. You can by all means sit the test without doing the course. But if you do not do certain VMware training first then you will not be a certified VCP.

  • You can sit for the exam but you won't be awarded a certificate until you do the course.Currently I am doing a vmware course from boxhill tafe and the instructor said that

  • cool was looking for cism

  • for the most part are these like CBT nugget style material ?

    • I think it should be the same as that. I do have CBT nuggets account but i think these people are more specialised. I particularly liked their end of module quizzes which CBT doesn't have it.

  • Why VMWare course is so expensive. Here in Melbourne, it costs almost $2000. Can't afford that much money.

    • Because the simple answer is.. "they can".

    • in-class mode training is always expensive and that's how they all encourage attending classes (just increase revenue)

    • $2,000? Where? It's almost $5,000 at all the places I've looked (VCP 6)
I even considered doing the course overseas because it's much cheaper, but have put that idea in the too hard basket at this point.

  • Does anyone have any experience with their lab environments such as MCSA Real LIVE Practice-Labs ?

  • Has anyone joined and subb'ed in to any of these courses ? Im looking at the MSCE and Vmware stream but for $99 and $69 respectively , there must be strings attached.
