I've done a few of these surverys for virgin and the etihad airways ones and I have NEVER got any points added to my account, i personally would avoid.

  • I've earned about 6000 velocity points over the last year through e-rewards

    • Went hard on e-rewards last year, got enough for 10,000 velocity points (almost a one way flight brisbane to vanuatu). Have got survey fatigue this year, only up to 3,000 pts so far :(

I've earned a few thousand Velocity points through this over the years, you just need patience as it can take time to build up the points needed to redeem. It can be a long time between surveys depending on your profile information. Definitely works, just don't expect fast results.

    • How long do the surveys take usually?

      • I've received 18,000 Velocity points since 2012 according to a search I just did for redemption emails. Surveys take between 5 minutes and 45 minutes normally, depending how many points they are worth.

      • Some can be as short as a few minutes, for which you might get 100-250 Opinion Points, Longer 15-20 minute ones can earn you 500+ Opinion Points. These are pretty rare though in my experience. Biggest one I think I've done was 1500 opinion points and it was about a 35-40 minute survey listening to snippets of music and rating it. Pretty easy. Some of the other surveys are pretty boring though. If you don't qualify for a survey you might get 30 points or so.

        The redeeming options are
        1,200 Opinion Points = 250 Velocity Points
        2,000 Opinion Points = 500 Velocity Points
        3,500 Opinion Points = 1000 Velocity Points
        6,000 Opinion Points = 2000 Velocity Points

I've done these. Not worth it unless you have time on your hands IMO. Most surveys take around 30 minutes and net you ~400-500 e-rewards points. You need 6,000 e-rewards points to redeem 2,000 Velocity points. In other words, at least 12 half hour surveys.

        • Yeah unless you're sitting around doing nothing it's not worth doing the surveys. The 750 points for signing up and doing one is pretty good though.

        • @batiudrami: During work time ;)

        • @cristobaljames:

I tried that as I have a lot of down time at work and its more boring than work.

  • I wake up each morning with an email saying "take this survey and ear $xxx". I click on it and it has expired. I am yet to do a survey on here, always expired. This common?

I'm going to do this survey 147 times to match the 110000 points from the Amex deal

  • Thanks, I thought it was time to sign up for a Virgin card, and this is a good excuse.

  • how much 750 points worth??

About $7.50-$15 depending on what you spend it on (worth the most if you spend it on business class flights, the least if you spend it on gift vouchers)
