    Price needed in title.
    Thanks.

    • My mistake! Thanks for that.

  • $11.32 + delivery, previously same pack for $12.09 + delivery on 4 August; https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/205598

Might be better to wait for a cheaper 8 pack (14.98 + delivery), depending on your needs.

    • +2

Yes that's true. I only need 1 battery at a time so since they are rechargeable 4 is enough for me.

  • +8

8 pack Chocolate/Tropical both available for $19.99, but you can click and collect! Usually they are online only and you have to add the delivery fee

    • $10.00 for 4 is cheaper. Maybe the OP can add it to the title before we get another deal posted.

      • +3

Alright I updated the post with the 8 packs. :)

        • +1

hey champ, there is no Tropical AAA pack, only the AA

    • i wish i read your comment before I ordered. thanks for the heads up, hindo!!

      • Don't worry, you'll be more annoyed soon when they are $15.00 for an 8 pack.

        • +1

this is why we can't have nice things.

  • Any opinions on getting two packs of the normal white ones VS the chocolat 8 pack? $19.98 chocolat vs $22.64 white…

    • If you need 8 batteries, then go for the chocolat's.

      • was thinking more in regards to longevity or if the cells are better in either… have gone 1 pack of each so we'll see if there's any appreciable difference :P

        • They're all chinese versions at this point

        • +1

@krisspy: The rouge are Japanese! I picked up three packs on the last sale.

    • +5

      None except colour I believe.

If your not picky with colours, get the rouge set, they are the ones made in Japan more superior than China eneloops
      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/camera-accessories/eneloop-tones…

Hard to do click and collect though. You may need to have delivery

      • They're good - think I have a set of those from a year or two ago, shame they're only AA though :(

      • Just curious, why is it superior?
The rouge colours are 3rd gen, and the rest are 4th gen… the newer gen is always better…. right?

        • Not always, there's a ridiculously detailed history to the Eneloops based on generation, place of manufacture etc. It's commonly believed that those manufactured in Japan are of superior quality… many of the newer generations are being made in China (if I recall correctly)

This guy did a test comparison between Chinese and Japanese eneloops for AA. This was done last year.

          http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?392229-Ja…

Japanese eneloops performed better than Chinese ones.
Granted the test he did, both are 4th gen so your correct can't completely compare that to 3rd gen japan vs 4th gen china. I just like the 70% retention rating of the 3rd gen Japan vs 65% retention of 4th gen China

For AAA, he did another test this year and surprisingly the Chinese made eneloops performed better.
          http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?395993-Ja…

Not an exact science, and anyone but hardcore users wouldnt notice the difference I think.

    • Get the rouge, they're japanese.

  • is this the lowest price, ever?
    also the third gen HR-3UTGB8-RTM
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/camera-accessories/eneloop-tones…
people said they are made in japan but only 1800 cycles,

the chinas on this post is up to 2100 cycles? wow these are 4th gen!

Finally my first lot, grabbed 3 lots of the combi pack original colours, thanks! about $70 delivered

  • Its been a while since I have seen an Eneloop deal, it looks like the coversion rate is not as good as it has been in the past, but with the AUD tanking maybe it isnt a bad time to secure some more ENE the future currency!

  • no packs with a charger? :/

  • +2

Completely different product but I found some Fujitsu AAA 2pk for $5.05 + shipping or C&C

better priced then the AAA eneloop 4pk… not too sure if they are from the previous japanese eneloop factory or not though.

Eneloop is such an expensive and shitty brand.

Turnigy from hobbyking is much better and cheaper too.

    • -2

The batteries may be cheaper but the minimum I can get for delivery is $27. Am I doing something wrong?

    • +1

They were the bees knees when Sanyo mfd them in japan. Now that they've lost some retention, they're just as good as any rechargeables. Not everyone in ozb is a battery afficionado so the whole eneloop and "anything else made in japan" momentum will continue.

      Imo turnigy > eneloop xx

  • U cant find Click and collect option on my Mobile browser. Did i miss something?

  • This isnt really a bargain from the prices Ive seen in the past…

    • +2

what are the best price for eneloop in ozb you can remember?

      • +1

        I remember $15.

        • thanks ill wait for that price then!

        • +2

          @erwinsie:

They had a better deal last time. Two 8 packs for $29 + $7.95 delivery.

    • Really depends how many batteries you need. The 4 pack is less frequently discounted.

  • -4

This isn't a bargain. They have this deal every single bloody week.

    • Not true, I've been checking it frequently for the past few months.
Keep in mind I originally only posted the 4 pack, which is discounted less frequently. The others were all suggestions from others. :)

      • +1

Don't know what you've been checking. I've been checking it regularly for the past 2 weeks, and it goes on sale at least 3 times a week. Yes even the 4 pack.

        • I'm really not sure then. Never seen at this price recently myself.

        • @trixta007: It's still a bargain, just a very regular one thats all.

        • @raven2000:

hardly call it a bargain imo, this is the normal prices for these batteries. i would love to see a price history for these batteries via dick smith, they would spend half their time at $40 and other at $20 just to lure idiots in. less than $10 per 8 pack would be deal worthy IMHO!

          bring on de_negs.

        • @storyteller:
I actually agree with raven if you look at other online stores or eBay, unless you look really really really hard, these eneloops of dick Smith are best deals at the moment.

        • @storyteller: It's a bargain because every other place has them for $20.

  • When did panasonic take over from sanyo?

    • +1

Panasonic bought Sanyo in 2009. So the 4th generation (these) batteries are now Panasonic.
