As mentioned below, you can buy gift vouchers for 10% less, so technically you kinda get 10% off.
Yes, in that they match prices and you can buy gift cards with a 10% bonus before purchase which then leads to a (almost) 10% discount.

hmm, doesn't look like a sale I'd get excited about (as per usual I suppose), a lot of the sale items are available now, and some good sales we had pre-christmas are not available in the boxing day sales (e.g. 10% off all apple, 20% off all digital cameras etc…)

But i have one question that i hope someone can answer.
I know Myers price match.. i saw the canon eos 1000d for 950 else where and after the price match will they accept the 10% employee discount? plus addding the gift card trick that oz bargainers are using.
Thus the camera that is 1200 will not be 770 !!!

they are so sly, went to parra on one of the nights that was supposed to be alot of sales anyway the camera's were 15% which we got an olympus camera which was ok
i go last sunday and all camera's are 20$ off, the olympus camera was $30 and was offering a free 2gb ipod shuffle, unbelievable!!! grrrrrrr
Last week they had 20% off cameras. 15% off isn't bad considering you can use it in combination with the 10% gift vouchers you get up until the 24th. The Nikon D3000 twin lens kit is $1099 - 15% = $934 - 10% = $849. That price isn't bad at all.

pretty lacklustre. I want outdoor furniture and well, at one of their earlier shopping events, it was 40% off all. Now its only 30%.
and the console games/conoles… that's not even a special boxing day offer. Same as before.
Myer's Boxing Day sales aren't what they used to be.
Massive amounts of people will line up but most will be there due to shopping withdrawals (or returning junk crissie presents)

I will vote negative for this deal. On the basis that they have the Panasonic VIErA TH-P50G10A 50" Plasma TV listed for $2379.15 and my friend paid $2000.00 even at Bing Lee only 2 weeks ago for the same model delivered.
Why was my negative comment removed. Why all negative comments removed. Its true. PS3 on stocktake is worse - you don't even get a game at $499. You'd got it before. Plus prior sales they had were better on a range of stuff
