have had double-up on charges for same day (parked once, card drawn twice)

If that is the case, the double-up is often related to an equipment problem at the time of payment.
The charges on days when you didn't park is often related to a problem at the time of payment where the details could not be communicated to the payment host (eg network connection outage) and so appear as a payment on a different day (when the problem is rectified). I expect that no charge to your credit card was shown on the day that you really parked.
Pre-booked as earlybird to receive a particular rate at end of day … eg.you book as earlybird, enter and exit within certain hours, cc is drawn on when your entry and exit times have finalised and you get charge 'appropriately'.
Payment from different day (middle of a week when car was at home) drawn by North Sydney Secure Parking … Have only ever pre-booked and parked at Parramatta.
Either way, number of time we used it didn't match number of times we paid. There's no communications other than email, no one onsite. My bad for letting credit card anywhere near website with so little visibility or communicability.

Nope .. I am using early bird parking daily.
