I was a fan of WeatherPro until they added in app purchases for everything even after you purchase the app. Do yourself a favor and just use the free version of Willy Weather or buy Pocket Weather, they are both far better apps.

Pocket Weather Australia is a beautiful weather app which sources it's data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

And this is also the reason why you should get Pocket Weather. No silly inaccurate information from Yahoo Weather.

        +100 for pocket weather.

      • What are your opinions on WeatherZone then?

        Pocket Weather $1.99 VS $0.20 WeatherPro ?

        • Pocket Weather, support Australian devs!

I use Weatherzone and Weather Australia for free.

A lot of companies are trying to "monetize" by jumping on the in app purchase bandwagon and basically crippling their existing apps. It's a real shame. Same thing happened to "shareware" back in the day and put a lot of people off. This is just the new incarnation.

  • Don't most weather companies/aqpps use the BOM API/data now?

I use Weather Underground app, and while Pocket Weather Australia looks good, I am happy with the functionality provided by WU.

    • A lot use Yahoo, which is always wrong, often by 10 degrees. They must have an issue getting it via Yahoo USA, as Yahoo Seven Australia does have the correct info.

      • A lot of weather apps are coded in US, they don't integrate australian BOM API's so the default is usually OpenWeather or USA Yahoo Weather.

  • I got weatherpro because at 95% off it's hard to resist. Might come in handy for oversea visits. In Australia, I think weatherzone plus is the way to go.

Did research on the angry birds, not worth it. Paying money for an app with ads is pointless, might as well get the free app with ads.
