$20 off RRP Avatar The Game at EB Games

72

Hi People,
Here you chance to get $20OFF on AVATAR - the game. I come across this offer, when I won the VIP passes to special screening of the movie AVATAR (3D). Take my words, the story is old, but James Cameron has done terrific work in terms of graphic effects. Its a must watch movie.

This is my first post, hope you like it.

Cheers,

  • I was there too! Fantastic movie. Best movie of the year and timed well to coincide with the Copenhagen Conference!

    • I agree. If we are to save Earth from climate change we must find new offworld resources to exploit.

Palgn.com.au gave the game a 6/10 but EB do let you return within a week or maybe more at Christmas.

  • Questions:
    - is the voucher required on site for discount?
    - there is a barcode. Will they scan it? If they do will it work for other customers?

    Cheers

      • voucher required for discount, but just get them to pricematch Target.
      • EB just uses a generic barcode for their promotions, it'll work for everyone
  • What do you mean the story is old?

  • +1

Not a bargain, EB Games is a rip off:
$89 at JB, $82.45 at Target both in store without a voucher, or $57 from Play-asia (less with a code) if you don't mind waiting.

Just because it's a great movie doesn't mean it will be a great game/graphics, usually the opposite actually

    • Seeing as EB Games price matches…

      Price match Target + $20 off = $62.45, not much more then Play-Asia (US$49.90+US$3.90=US$53.8 or AU$60.45)

A saving of a whole $2 and you'll have to wait for shipping.

  • play asia has codes avail ? :p

  • Well this still doesn't exactly make it a bargain if you ask me. Overpriced to start with.
Although it doesn't say what platform this deal is for, steam currently has it for $25US on PC.

I've heard a lot of bad things about the game play and story line of the game. The movie is probably my favourite of all time though.
