how much they charge for shipping usually anyone know ?
$1.99.
Please see my comment. OzGameShop has done it again.
Interesting that the rep that was very active 2 days ago is not commenting
To be fair, it is 3:30am in the UK at the time of posting.
Hey Dagmar,
With the way the exchange rate is going, prices have gone up slightly over the last few months, but we're doing all we can to combat that with the promotions and offer we're running.
The products you mentioned in your last post were all on special offer or promotion, for a limited time, which is why they went back up to full price several days afterwards.
Hope that clarifies everything, we aren't in the business of trying to upset you guys in any way, we've been here since the good old days in 2011/2011 and we have the same ethos now as we did then :)
Cheers,
Dan.

The reason I linked my previous post was because of the price change of The Evil Within on the PS4. It's up another $14.50 within a week of it being $39.99.
My post:
A month back, The Evil Within was $35 delivered as stated in one of my Deals, but it's now $39.99 (on the PS4) without delivery.
Now it's $54.49. I don't think the exchange rate has changed that much in the last 7 days to justify another $14.50. You're raising prices in anticipation of your sales and/or free postage. I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt until I saw the price rise of The Evil Within and this comment from below;
I had two items in my cart and prices were bumped up by 3 and 5 dollars after 6pm
It's a sad day when EB Games becomes cheaper than OzGameShop. The Evil Within PS4 for only $28 at EB Games compared to the $54.49 at OzGameShop.
:EDIT: Fixed up some errors.
Hey Dagmar,
With The Evil Within, when it went on special offer, was the last of the stock that we had in our warehouse; that was the reason for the initial offer. It's now available to buy on site but we do't have it in stock. This is what we call 3rd Party stock and it means we will offer it for sale but because we don't stock it, we have to buy it in at the customers request. That is why on this kind of product, there is a message stating to 'Please wait an additional 2 - 3 working days for dispatch'. This also means that we have to pay a heavy premium for the convenience of buying in just 1 copy of the game instead of buying in bulk like we do with current/popular games.
We see this as better than not offering the product at all, but I can see where you're coming from, it does look like we've hiked the price of that product when in actual fact we've sold out of our original bulk buy stock, and now we have to pay a lot more for it if we only want to sell the odd one.
If you want any more info on this please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can go into more detail. I hope that clears things up for you, as I mentioned, we really aren't in the business of being a shady retailer, we pride ourselves on our strong reputation of being a great value retailer.
Cheers,
Dan.
None of that is the customers problem. At the end of the day, it's just another unreasonable price hike and you've permanently lost many customers because of it.
Well go pay full price at EBGames.
Hey Tyrus,
As a lot of the guys here are saying, the AUD-GBP rate is not great at the moment (fingers crossed it turns around), and this is what is causing some products to go up in price over the last 3 weeks. Some products are going up, some products are absorbing it because they have to. But just looking at this Splatoon game in particular, it was increased by $2 3 weeks ago with the exchange rate jumping from around the 2.0 mark to 2.12 so when you consider that leap in exchange, we haven't increased inline with that, we've kept it to a minimum and not followed the trend fully.
Hope that helps clear things up. We're doing all we can with the offers this month to combat exchange, hopefully you can find something that will take your fancy.
Dan.
is it me or has their store prices increase A LOT lately?
They are not as cheap as they used to be i guess ,was going through items and some of them are way overpriced.
they were well priced years ago, but since then the GBP-AUD conversion has gotten very bad for us. It used to be about $AU1.50 = £1, now it's about $AU2 = £1.
2011 was bargain central. I remember, good time to import games.
throw back to when Amazon UK trialed free shipping to Aus for about a year in 2011 (was technically minimum order of £25, but I had a work around), I unnecessarily ordered so many blu-rays as they were way cheaper than Aus, on top of that, shipping was free, and titles generally were released before Aus/there were plenty of titles that didn't that weren't distributed in Aus. Also would order so much from Zavvi.com
they were the days
2011 was a great year for bargains! 1.5 exchange rates meant great value! Oh to dream…

now it's about $AU2 = £1PayPal has it at $2.21 = £1.
True, and PayPal is our main payment provider so that does play into things.
Hopefully with all the offers we're running currently there is something that will be of interest to you :)
They increased their prices store-wide the last time they did one of those 24 hour extra Player Points things. Like $2-4 extra on everything, and they haven't gone back down again. Everything that's now $73.99 was $69.99, for example.
"Do you remember a time when OzGameShop always had free shipping? Pepperidge Farm remembers."
Milsims seems to be listing a lot of games cheaper.
If you factor availability in, and the minimum $7.50 shipping for Milsims, OzGameshop can be a much better alternative.
I was looking at Elder Sign + Gates of Arkham expansions (apparently makes it way better). Currently unavailable on Milsims, and Joe Dodgy's only has one of the products. After adding shipping I would save ~$5-8, however I'd have to wait X weeks/months for both retailers to get stock in. From my searching, the prices for these two products on OzGameshop are far better than those listed on eBay as well.
All that said, I planned to use the 10% off coupon, which expired before I was reminded about the products. The urgency is now gone, so they'll sit in my cart until I feel the need to purchase them, at which point they may be restocked at Milsims or Joe Dodgy's, which in turn will save me those few extra dollars, and cut the shipping time in half, if not more. Such is the way of online shopping. :P
Agreed most prices are ridiculous, however anyone in need of a PS4 controller, $75.99 is the cheapest compared to staticice at the moment when you also consider delivery fees
http://www.ozgameshop.com/ps4-accessories/official-sony-dual…
Black only, white is a few bucks more, as are blue, red and camo
the delivery fee is usually free if you spend more than $50 so you can buy the controllers anytime.
Target has them for $73 http://www.target.com.au/p/playstation-4-dual-shock-controll…
Just bought Yoshi's Woolly World. $52 is the cheapest I could find at the moment ($58 at Target).
Now the 2 week wait…
Such a beautiful and fun platformer with some steep difficulty curves, not sure I'd wait for $6 potentially running the risk of being carded by AP
Tempted to grab it as well, although the free shipping deal doesn't benefit that title I don't believe given they have free shipping on orders over $50. Still a good price for the game.
use the code COMPAR3 to get 3% off, which isn't heaps but it's something. (http://www.comparegames.com.au/Coupon.aspx?companyid=6)
Should try not to buy off these guys until the rep comes to ozbargain with some proper decent exclusives that actually beat target big w etc.
The spam email campaigns are a joke
Try 365games.co.uk which is their site aimed at the UK audience. It always has free shipping to Australia (with no min. spend) and totally comparable prices (sometimes cheaper than ozgameshop).
I had two items in my cart and prices were bumped up by 3 and 5 dollars after 6pm
I am leaving a negative vote on this deal due to the issues raised in my comment here.
Reason: major issues with retailer.
I emailed them a few weeks ago just a comment about their recent pricing, as I hadn't used them in years but had credit sitting there. Yoshi's Wooly World was releasing soon, and they were selling the Amiibo bundle for the same price as everyone local, so I figured, why not? Turned out to be a big mistake. Ended up waiting 2+ weeks for the game to arrive, and lo and behold, everyone local dropped their price significantly on the day of release. I ended up paying $20 more (completely negating my credit) and waiting for the shipping.
I emailed them just a comment to show how displeased I was with the experience and why I hadn't been using them lately, and I received a very generic cookie cutter response about how I would be reimbursed if the price drops. When I emailed back to reiterate to the rep that their price didn't drop and that was the problem, I didn't receive any further response.
Negging purely based on price hikes before sales, and that shipping used to be ALWAYS free. What happened, OGS?
Negging purely based on price hikes before sales
Valid neg, however…
everyone local dropped their price significantly on the day of release
That's not their fault. As much as it sucks, you can't really lay the blame on OGS.

Oh, absolutely not. I wasn't. It was more just a "food for thought" type of email rather than complaining they didn't also lower their price. It was just extremely frustrating to essentially lose my credit I had with them, and then for the rep to basically ignore what I said in my email.
Splatoon went up from $47 to $49.99 as soon as this free shipping promo went live. Several other games have as well.
