These guys might be a little more expensive than overseas sellers, but the service and delivery are EXCELLENT.

    • +2

Thanks for the thumb up, and supporting AU sellers

  • -1

Yeh sorry guys but not a good deal at the moment. Gearbest is doing this one at 12.65 USD delivered at the moment. Happy for someone else to post this deal on Ozbargain.

    • +26

We're AU local business, provide fast shipping, genuine products and more importantly, local warranty for all our items.
GST and current low AUD rate is killing a lot of businesses, we hope we can stay strong and bring more bargains to ozb community.

      • Completely understand mate. Ive bought from you guys before and were cheaper than most. Its just ebbs and flows i guess

    • Gearbest you're probably looking at several weeks to months shipping. These guys get it to you in a couple days (Sydney metro), not to mention better support/warranty if something goes wrong.

So, maybe not the cheapest but definitely great value.

    • +1

Just a heads up. Gearbest is notoriously slow with shipping, way slower than Banggood, fasttech, etc. Expect to receive your Xiaomi from there after 2 months (no joke).

    • Gearbest is one of the worst online shopping experiences I've ever had. Bought a power bank 1.5 months ago. Still waiting To receive it.

      • I am still waiting for my powerbank from gearbest as well.

  • +3

Just bought with the 16000mah option!
Works out to be approx $5AUD difference between Gearbest & Mushtato for me!

Happy to support at this rate.

    • +1

Thanks all for supporting mushtato and local AU business :-)

  • Does Apple Lightning Cable comes in a retail box?

    • No retail package, only comes with cable itself.

      • Might be not much genuine than.

  • Don't need another one at the moment but I agree, the service and delivery were excellent when I bought the first one. Happy to pay a little more for an Australian Seller.

  • Any ultra-thin units more than 5000mAh?

  • I need a power bank for a 4 week trek in Nepal, what would you suggest? I will probably only have access to electricity every few days or so.

Will need to charge my camera (RX100M3) mostly as well as my mobile (Note 4)

    • +2
    • Have you considered a solar panel and a battery in the 5,000-10,000 mAh range? You'd want the solar panel to charge the battery in 3-4 hrs or so (some small panels need 8+ hrs of full sunlight, which doesn't sound convenient). If you can attach the solar panel to a backpack you could recharge the battery while you're out and about.

      • +1

None of the solar panel chargers are worth it, plus if you want one that charges fast, they're pretty bulky (the panel). The 16000mah one would be great.

  • +3

Is there a deal for the 16,000 mAh on its own please? I really don't need two powerbanks but would love the 16k :)

    • +1 Already have 3x 10400 from previous deals..

    • Buy two for $37.95. The price is fair, Sydney stock, Australian business, warranty (1 year from manufacturer and 30 days from Mushtato) and it's free shipping.

      http://www.mushtato.com.au/xiaomi-16000mah-portable-mi-power…

      • Two? But that's $38 each and I only want one?

        • Oh, then it's $39.95. :p

  • -2

I bought one of these and it's hopeless, it charges for a minute then switches off, no idea why you need a on off button on a battery pack

    • +1

hmm, mine doesn't switch off. what were you charging?

    • A Samsung s6

      • Yours might be faulty or you're not charging it properly. Refer to the xiaomi guides on youtube. They'll show you how to use it properly.
I have two 160000 mAh and they're stellar.

        • +2

If you really have two 160,000 mAh they must be stellar.

        • @bio:
          you know what i mean

      • Definitely not the case for all of them. It charges my Galaxy S6 nearly as fast as the fast charging.

        • How fast is that? I just plugged in my old S2 and it took 2.5 hours from flat to charged.

  • +1

5 Power banks total purchased. These guys are fast with their shipping!

  • -5
    • +1

      $20 for the product + $15.40 shipping. You're joking.

  • +2

I just received my two 16000mAh Xiaomi powerbanks. They shipped via Australia post and I received the product the next morning. Excellent service.

    • Re charging times, a Lumia 530 (1430 mAh battery) went from 19% to 75% in about an hour, a Galasxy S2 (1650mAh) went from flat to fully charged in 2.5 hours.

      • Note the the S2 is actually limited by the phone, which reportedly only charges at up to 1A (or 0.65A depending on who you ask). This powerbank is capable of up to 2A, and I have measured 1.9A with my S4 and a decent cable (my phone never reports above 1.9A with any charger or cable).

        • Yeah, the S2's bundled charger is 0.75A. The bundled charger for the Lumia 530 is only 0.55A, not sure what it can draw.

Waiting for my other devices to deplete to time them.

  • im pretty keen to buy a set of the pistons for $19.95 but i don't need the powerbank, already got a 16000mah one :| any chance you can hook us up with a code or something :D ill pay a little more if i must!

      • Piston 2.1 or Piston 3?

        • +3

          Why not both ;)

        • +1

@mushtato: I like the way you think

      • Damn, bought a pair yesterday from your website, arrived today! Still happy though, the piston 3.0's offer superb sound for their price.

  • Any Deal on the Xiaomi Mi All New Piston 3.0 Earphone headphone Black? Under $30?

  • Is there any option for express postage?

  • Does this support qualcomm quick charge 2.0?

  • +1

I highly recommend Mushtato, they are really good with after sales service. It is worth buying these things local, much easier for warranty returns etc.

Had the Micro to Lightning adapter that one works like a charm, so now I use any Micro USB cable to charge iPhone

  • Any deal on the thin 5000mAh one?

  • -1

How long do they last (or how many charges) before they start to deplete super fast?
My 30,000mAh only lasted maybe 9months before it stopped charging more than max 30% of my iphone 6. Use to be able to do 4 charges FULL! then after 1 month, 2 full charges, then another 4 months down to 1 charge, then half, then now useless.
The time it took to charge the charger however took the same amount (half a day).

    • There's your problem. Don't get a cheapo 30,000 mAh one. Xiaomi don't even make such high capacity ones.
Get a genuine Xiaomi 16000mAh one.

      • Whats my problem? How did you know it was a cheapo one?
Doesn't answer my question how long do they last

        • +1

How did you know it was a cheapo one?

          • Claimed capacity: 30,000mAh (note: even with the highest-density cells available, that's something like 2x the size and weight of the one in this post).
          • Phone: iPhone 6
          • Phone battery capacity: 1810mAh
          • Charges: 4 full

Do the maths. That's 7240mAh. Let's say it's only 70% efficient, heck, let's call it 50% efficient (ridiculous, but it could happen with a high charge rate). At 50% efficiency that still only accounts for approx. 14500mAh. So, we've established that you only achieved under half the rated capacity when it was brand new. Yea, no.

Actually, I'm surprised you got 7000+mAh out of it… normally they go all out with the fake capacity claims and just give you enough that it sorta-kinda works for a bit. Or they use old recycled cells pulled from old laptop batteries, etc..

How long do they last? Hard to say. The Xiaomi ones, like any battery pack, will eventually lose capacity, but I'd expect it to be at about the same rate as your phone itself - and certainly not an 90% dropoff over four months, that's just as ridiculous as the difference between claimed and actual capacity. You'd probably be fine with daily cycles for well over a year.

        • Ok sold, bought one and will try :)

  • Sweet was looking for one of these for camping for the 7th august hopefully i get it before then.. just purchased one.

    • +1

ordered mine from these guys friday morning got monday morning (in melbourne it came from sydney) compared to last one i ordered from asia took 6 weeks! great deal and product:)

  • I bought one of these when the last deal was on. something I found straight away was that the battery was charging devices extremely quickly however the charged device was depleting really quickly. For example, lets say on a normal charger my Nexus 5 takes 3 hours to full charge; using the battery it only took 2 hours. However once fully charged the phone only seems to last for half the time it normally would.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Is this normal for this device?

    • You probably need a battery recalibration.
Base on your description, the battery itself wasn't fully recharged.
However, your phone "think" it is at 100%.
A battery recalibration will normally fix the issue.

    • I also use it with a nexus 5, i don't have any issues.

  • damn i just bought this for $6 more from you last friday. arrived yesterday - think after dropping last one it stopped working properly. used my last one for two years took to mexico (only thing armed airport security looked at and scanned alot) as well as singapore and malaysia. these things are awesum. not a kids toy like a little powerbank for the grrls handbag. was tempted to get the 16000mah version but was worried it was too big to pocket which this one isn't. great deal! doh i paid $6 too much but i needed one quickly! esp as this nexus6 battery is crap!

  • You can get a 50,000mAh power bank on eBay for roughly the same price (maybe $30). Nearly 5x the storage amount.

    • +2

      "50,000mAh"

Sure. I'll believe it when I see it independently tested. You're more likely to get old dodgy cells extracted from laptop batteries, or maybe bags of sand.

You'd be lucky to get 2Ah out of one, with a charge rate of 1A tops. Not to mention the safety hazard.

I'll also note that the Xiaomi banks use 2600mAh cells. The best 18650 cells (NCR18650B) have a rated capacity of 3400mAh. A 50,000mAh device would have to be at least three times the physical size and weight of this one, even accounting for higher energy densities than commonly available.

There are two things I'd never trust from eBay, above anything else: batteries (lying about capacity, safety/explosion/fire hazard) and storage (lying about capacity, data loss risk). Well, I'd trust a couple known-good sellers, but certainly not random crap from a search.

      • they better be physically 3-5 times bigger at least ;D

  • Purchased 2 16000mah power banks from the last deal, going to purchase 10400mah one now. Thanks for the deals guys, shipping to metro Sydney areas is ridiculously fast, got mine the next day last time.

  • I read an online review that said the 10400mah chargers were better built and better chargers (fractionally). For extra capacity, it's better to buy 2 x 10400mah ones compared to a single 16000mah because it gives you two full 2.1amp outage and the 16000mah dual USB's are 2.1amp single use but only 3.6amp dual use.

Is this true and would it be better to grab 2 x 10400mah and just strap them together instead of a 16000mah?

    • Review here.

      http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/review-xiaomi-16000mah-mi-pow…

I assume even at 3.5amp devices still charge fairly quick right?

      • This review seems to imply that the value proposition of 2 smaller devices vs 1 big one is based somewhat on the reviewer's ability to procure the small one at less than half the price of the big one. For a similar price between these 2 devices as in this deal, I think the reviewer would revise his opinion.

  • Showing SOLD OUT

  • unfortunately my shipping experience hasn't been quite the same as several posters above. ordered 21st, still haven't arrived..
i know North Ryde isn't Sydney CBD but considering shipping info was received on Wednesday - it must fall on australia post as the delay.

    • +1

Please kindly PM or email us your order ID.
Our staff will follow it up for you with AusPost.

  • got mine in mail today (QLD), these things are solid, and can see them scratching things with the sharp edges (any bumper type cases for them?)
anyways, do i need to do anything special with the charger before using it i.e drain it first/charge it first, or just simply start using it?
thanks for the deal though, got a 5000 also

    • +1

Plenty of silicon cases on ebay for a couple bucks. If you do get one I don't recommend black as you see all the dust it picks up.

Battery should be good to use straight from the box I think
