Don't want to get the kids hooked on taco's you see, next they will be snorting enchiladas.

do you need to be over 18?

        • No ID is necessary, They bring out a tray and you take it and are good to go. Happy bargaining.

    • @tightarse should update to reflect this

Why are they handing out Old tacos? :-)

  • They cook them in batches and bring them around on trays. Not bad if you're willing to stick around for the wait but the amount of people makes it difficult. Generous amount of avocado in the chicken option

  • +1

Why do they give so much love to melbourne and not to the rest of us

  • +2

Woo, got mine at Fed Square!

The tacos are pretty small, where I'd need at least 3 to fulfill a lunch!

Also, there's no form of organisation (everyone clumped up to the front, where the food is prepared), leading everyone to grab them like seagulls when they were sent out one tray at a time.

    • And the taste test?

      • +1

Pretty good. Nice spice to it, but not too powerful. Pineapple was an interesting addition. Lacked fillings, compared to the size of the tortillas.

        Overall, 7/10.

        • Thanks. May actually take a walk down there myself :)

          @tightarse:

          *GASP!

Does that mean we could all see you in person?!

Be right back, hopping on the train…

        • @silverrat23:
I'll wear my OzB t-shirt lol.

    • Haha exactly like seagulls

  • Good tacos better than gomez

  • I went at around 3:30 and was told they were closed for the day. I think as in closed to new "customers", as it seemed like they were still cooking and there were people hanging around the tables, looking like they were waiting for their free feed. They recommended me to go to Melbourne Central tomorrow.

  • went there around 1040 this morning as I was in town and hardly anyone was there but they were running late cooking anyway. Tried the pork - quite tasty, will buy the meal kit based on today's taste test.

  • yummy tacos! Happened to stumble upon their stall today and tried both Pork and Chicken flavours! They were very generous with the meat (too generous, the taco couldn't hold it) but they were still so delicious and comforting. It was a little too salty IMO but free is free.

    Will be there tomorrow!! :)

  • Needs more details ha!
Gold Coast location is just listed as 'Robina'. That is an entire suburb.

    • Sorry. But that's all the info available here.

      • +1

Sorry. I had looked at the website before and so I wasn't taking a dig at you, just the website.

  • Went to Melbourne Central today at lunchtime. This time, there were two lines - one for chicken and the other for steak. Definitely better than 'Not a Whirlpooler's (heh) experience. However, the lines were 20-people long each.

  • Noticed this at Fed square and got some Monday, then had some each day since as I saw here they were in Melbourne Central.

Went at 6.30 one day and they were cleaning up, they don't serve until 7.

Queue for the non chicken is always a lot shorter.

At fed they were doing pork as the other option but in Melbourne Central they've been doing steak which is pretty nice.

  • Anyone have pictures?

  • Massive line in Martin place. 20 min wait for 1xsmall taco.

  • these tacos were amazing! chicken was better

2 choices today, chicken or steak

spoke with the guy, world sq on thursday will also have pork

    • I thought they were pretty average. couple bits of chicken and some lettuce pretty much..

  • +2

Update from King George Square (Brisbane) - nothing found at 10:40am unless they are playing hide and seek. Epic fail…

    • +1

I was there as well. Couldn't find it. :-(
