Unmet expectations - causing avoidable dramas since… forever
Everyone has the notion it is inevitable it will not honoured but it's always 'safe' to take the chance anyway.
Every one is sure it won't be honoured but they order it any way. Makes a lot of sense. I guess they want to make to make some ones day a long hard one having to cancel all these many thousands of orders.
Ozbargain is not the place to feel "guilty". Unless of course you feel "guilty" for buying on inpulse ;).
Fwiw, I didnt go through with it, added one to the cart, went through to paypal, signed in, sat there for 10 mins then decided to cancel.
Best case scenario; paypal holds onto my money for 2 months after JJ cancels the deal.. Good luck to everyone if im wrong.
Yes as I just spent $30 odd dollers unnecessarily
But what the heck you only live once and you should let loose once in a while
In this world where businesses just care about their bottom line and not their customers at all - no I do not feel guilty! F*** them! (I didn't order one as I only saw this now, but I would have ordered several)
Looks like the whole Just Jeans online team is going to be fired.
I won't
You neg me?
Yep. Lol.
… You're not jv
He's worse; he's a drug lord :P
Hopefully they will give us a $20 Coupon code for the inconvenience
As if they'll cancel a gift card order where some one paid $29.95 only to give out a $20 gift card coupon for free as some sort of imaginary compensation. You're dreaming.
If you didn't want an inconvenience then don't order on a blatant pricing error.
You're dreaming
Martin Luther King was a dreamer ans look at what he achieved
Simon Cutlerson was a dreamer and look at what he achieved
Martin Luther King was a dreamer ans look at what he achieved
Some also may say John Lennon was a dreamer, and it didn't end well for either of them.
So it's not always good to dream or Imagine.

not at all, lots of businesses give codes for compensation either for delays, miscommunication or email spams. All JJ would have to do is offer a $20 voucher say for a $60 minimum spend and they will weed out a lot of the people going over board with orders and keep their customer base happy. Like other deals in time it will blow over if they choose to just refund either, but businesses do give codes out as compensation
bought $400 face value
I bought $400 ass Value (since ill be buying jeans)
I bought 200 crotch value but expect to get it in the ass from jj
If it works, it's a miracle. If it doesn't, their T&C's say we'll get a refund. Gave it a go and paid via Paypal :)
EDIT: They have immediately sent me a tax invoice, which is interesting. At least with most online shopping I do, they typically just send an order receipt confirmation but hold out on sending a tax invoice until they've made sure they haven't made any errors like Just Jeans have done here.
Quite obviously a joke.
Only 30? I just redrew all the available funds from my investment property loan and bought 10,000.
I have taken a chance and ordered 1 with Express Post delivery, let us see what happens, cant win if you do not have a ticket. If we get the cards, we get, if not, Well, we tried.
From a Ozbargain post to a JJ OzLotto?
I wouldn't waste my time.
To Me,
Love you babe.
Signed, Me.
Something positive amongst all this negative.
Assuming these won't be honored, is the purchase price refunded?
I can't seem to make to through checkout, still trying…
"Won't be honoured so I've just sent my complaint in advance to Just Jeans head office, ACCC and Fair Trading."
To those downvoting the comment - it was a joke… I thought it was pretty funny :)
DeWalt, you are a tool ;)
i bought ALL of them. Hold ALT 2 3 6 for the ∞ symbol.
Try to hold alt+F4 if you want to crash their website.
Can't get the checkout to process through to the payment page, it just sits there. Guess the site is getting hammered. Best of luck to anybody that can be bothered trying.
Could not be bothered to just have the payment refunded in a few days.
Is there any history on ozbargain of these price errors ever going through? this one will clearly be moved with 'price error' in the next 12-24 hours but good luck to those that tried anyway.
That is David Jones which is far from having any thing to do with Just Jeans. Also that picture shows an in store purchase and i bet bought through a self serve register. And David Jones is a large company they can also afford a few pricing errors. This however from Just Jeans is an online order and they can cancel orders at any time before shipping. Just Jeans however is owned by a different parent company and they could be more strict about pricing errors.
Even if you make an online order you don't own it until it's shipped then the ownership title passes over to you.
I was just addressing his question in regards to price error history in ozb
According to the post, he placed the order online, went to the store, spoke with the manager and they honoured it
But again it's david jones
Since when has David jones had self service checkouts?
@sigh: like never
will buy heaps with my Frequent Flyer Credit Card - free points woooo
Website is getting smashed, can't get to checkout yet.
I guess some one at Just Jeans online admin is now going to notice some thing is up due to a sudden huge increase in internet bandwidth traffic. You're all smashing their poor little bandwidth pipe.
I managed to get through the process and ordered 4 - let's see. My wife has already figured which birthdays they'll be used for :-).
Just ordered one! Hoping they will acknowledge it.
They'll acknowledge it. Not sure if they'll honour it.
Oh right, woops my mistake.
I just read through their t&c's and i cant see anything that clearly spells out "we wont honour price errors"… thoughts?
They won't honour it. They do have it in their terms that they can cancel any order.
Just Jeans is owned by Solomon Lew. There's no way they'll honor this :)
touche!
Maybe Just Jean's founders will be able to afford to honour all the gift cards after the sale of their $7.5m holiday home.
http://news.domain.com.au/domain/domain-news/port-douglas-pa…
If they dont honor, fine, As long as they refund my paypal account.
they may just ship out a bunch as "express post" and none of them actually turn up ;)
Put in cc details and stuck on payment screen. Site is getting smashed.
Monday morning 8:30 JustJeans headquarters
employee "sir, I have good news and bad news."
boss "let's start with the good news"
employee "we sold over 3000 vouchers yesterday'
boss "awesome, what's the bad news"
employee "well…."
10 seconds later, me in Brisbane "where did that scream come from?"
It's definitely a pricing error - ALL gift cards are being charged at $29.95, including the $20 one!
Not just gift cards. Everything. Try put some clothes in your cart
I ordered through cash rewards for my 4% cashback also!!
You're a bunch of professionals …

i wonder if we'll still get the tote after these are inevitably cancelled and refunded
that's what i'm hoping. doubt we get the cards haha.
yeah, looks like the wife might win out on this bargain :P
Pricing error.
You must be fun at parties.
Partying error
very much so.
Why the negs? He's correct.
Paging Captain Obvious
This has no hope of being honored, still ordered one anyway
Anyone ordered via Paypal and had an actual description of what was bought? What's stopping them from sending the 20$ card?
the itemised receipt they email you.
yes, just got an email from just jeans. Phew I thought my "safe" gamble was about to be …… Thanks.
go to your order page on JJ and you will see
$200 $29.95
(including discount of $170.05)
Subtotal: $29.95
Thanks OP. Giving it a go. Best of luck to all.
-Order 3
-Sell one for $100
-Make $6.40 and have $400 of clothing vouchers
-Wake up
Too bad you will never get your gift cards rookie :P. This won't be honoured.
I bought a $20 gift card for $29.95
Am I doing OzBargain right? haha
Can I sell you something?
i didn't even bother. i know this will never be honored.
There's people saying "i know this won't be honoured but i'll order one any way" lol what tools.
I often feel bad with these:
- Someone at the office will get reprimanded for this
- You create hours of work for some poor grunt cancelling orders
- The entitled will come along and QQ on the deal afterwards complaining how poor form JJ are
"Advantages are taken, not handed out".
I understand the mentality but I feel as a community we need to weigh up the success of something like this (very very minor) to the 'damage' we cause on the receiving end.
Premier Investments FY14 revenue - $905 million.
On current click rate and assuming everyone is buying one $200 giftcard for $29.95 this is (so far) costing them $726794. A drop in the ocean!
Web dev guy's income - $75,000
On current click rate and assuming everyone is buying one $200 giftcard for $29.95 this is (so far) costing them their job.
Karma for outsourcing web dev to india.
I get your point, but why is it always online orders that get this treatment? Sitting at a computer cancelling orders is hard work. A duty I would more than be happy to do if it meant I didn't have to serve people that find basic functions complicated
- You create hours of work for some poor grunt cancelling orders
If they don't script that kind of thing there's something seriously wrong.
You would be surprised.
Haha previous comment getting hammered. I did in fact buy 3, so I hope it goes through. It's definitely one of the best deals I've seen since finding the site.
How is it a deal if you are yet to receive any product?
Anything and everything is $29.95 at checkout, not just the Gift Cards.
guilt will becomes pain when get cancel. So OZB bargain logic is worth a try. more or less it could suppose to be a secret offer
