do it online so you can confirm your email as soon as it arrives and have the $10 credit handy.
Thanks tdw, it automatically emails you with membership if you purchase it online? I got the feeling I had to wait for the card to be delivered. According to FAQ "Memberships can take up to 10 business days to process. If you have not received your Club Plus card within 10 working days of joining the Club, please contact our Customer Interaction Centre on 1300 175 010."
Not sure what I'd use tomorrow in store if I purchased membership online. lol. Sounds like I need to get membership in store, wait for email (hopefully immediate), activate, then use card in store.
confirming your email is key to getting the credit.
the time it takes to receive that confirmation email varies.
you don't even need your member card to use the credit in store. just give them your email address and they can look you up
@tdw: Thanks again, I might pop up tonight to join and see if they have stock of what I want anyway.
I just signed up, logged into my account via "activation: email link, and I see $0 balance, WTF?
Look in top right - is it there?
****nevermind, it just came thru.
under Loyalty Credit
so does that mean I can shop inshore today, get 20% off, plus $10 off if i mention my email address?
@JimmyBargain: yes
Replying to my own post, yes you can use $10 credit with this. Had success this morning (signed up to club in store last night, though got email pretty much immediately so you could probably get away with doing it in store if not too busy).
hmm… would u get credit if u spent the other week when it was full price?
If you're in Club Plus it says "If a Customer makes a purchase on full priced item, and that item comes on sale in the two weeks following the purchase, they will receive the difference between the price paid and the sale price as a credit on their Club Membership"…. just been reading up on it! :)
within 2 weeks and you should. if you don't see your credit in your account on Saturday, give them a call
perfect, thanks
Yes you will. Had this happen when I had to return something and replace it like a week before 1 of these sales. New 'purchase' got a credit later on :)
Yes if your a member.
locking this for grammar police
@madmouse58: dammit! I could play defence and say I meant it in the colonial 1700's term.
But 2015, shame on me!
You're*. Your welcome. Oh wait….
@madmouse58: The one I've noticed recently is people using "defiantly" instead of "definitely".
What planet are they from?
@coldturkey: I think it's because with predictive mobile keyboards, (especially things like Swype where you trace the letters) it comes up as first suggestion. I've noticed it because it keeps suggesting/autocorrecting it despite me not having used 'defiantly' in a sentence more than one or two times in my entire life.
good to get battery's - often excluded from these sales
Except Supercheapauto are not cheap with Batteries…
Really? i can't find this one cheaper anywhere else (after the 20% off)
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Centu…
Tyrepower will probably do it cheaper, just tell them what you want to pay, though 20% less is getting close to the prices they have quoted me for some of the batteries, but others were cheaper than 20% off.
Examples from Dec 2014
First price Supercheap, then Tyrepower.
55D23L $165 $145
75D23L $205 $145
CENTURY BATTERY 58 $154 $120
CENTURY BATTERY 68 $175 $130
NS70L $199 $135
NS70LX $239 $150
These were the Tyrepower prices quoted before any negotiation.
There was room to move a few dollars on those prices - the beauty of the manager being the owner, and it is a side line for them that they are trying to push a bit.
Repco prices were more by $3-$7 with the NS70LX listed at over $300
20% is so common these days between Repco & SCA…think I'll wait for 30% Repco RAC specials
I find repco is inflated by 10% to account for the auto club discount anyway. If your gonna wait, wait for teh 25% of SCA :)
Nah…I find that to be the other way around in my local shops…Repco usually have lower RRP compared to SCA at least to my experience.
Repco are also negotiable, which Supercheap are not.
hmmm drill press was $119 orignially 7 months ago (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/201028) now its $139
I paid $94.95 in January
I took mine back in march, POS!
Mine hasn't left the box yet :p but yer super cheap crap.
Yay spend more money
Last 20% off deal they jacked the prices up 1-2 days before. I wonder if they will do the same this time?
Then buy everything now, and claim the credit.
MaxxTrax are always a good buy on these 20% off deals.
Might look at some Waecos… interesting, Anaconda is also doing 20% off this week.
Bought $100 of stuff this arvo. Is there anything I can do?
club plus member?
I am but I forgot to mention to them while paying…
Nope
Is the discount off spray paint too?
It should be as its everything in the store. I need spray paint for legitimate purposes.
Any good bargains on shelving that don't have a million screws to fix in?
five finger discount?
I bought a battery from there last weekend. Being a member will I get the 20% back on my card? How do I check this will/has happened?
you should. check here

Buy from their ebay store via cashrewards for further discounts!
I stopped going to supercheap after they tried to charge me $48 for a fuel filter, bought it from ebay same make for $16(⊙o⊙)
Seems their site is down at the moment??
Pow !!!! $47 returned to my account for buying a battery last week…… Only have 4 weeks to use it though !!!
Anyone had success in using $10 Club Plus sign-up credit with this? I'd need to join so assume best to do in store rather than online.
