Hey.
Seems like a nice deal on the Canon. Was looking for a camera and stumbled on it. Only today.
Ended up getting the Nikon D3300 instead tho, with the same code.
Cheers

Model 700D, I should edit the title now that you mention it.
i was just being stupid.
ignore me.
All done bruh, feast your eyes on the new title.
LOL
Good price for local stock
These are not bred in Australia
As long as paying tax here.
Ooft. might pick up the 70D for $1075. Thanks OP.
It is not a very good deal for a 70D though.
GG had it for ~$940 a few weeks ago.
For a 700D it is a very good deal especially if you do need an 18-55 lens.
Fair enough. Do you rate the camera as a good purchase at around the $950-$1000 mark? Or would there be good value in spending a few extra hundred and going the 5/6/7D mk ii/ii ?
i think 70D a far superior camera especially for video.
Good price considering other local price is around $1350 - 1400
Be aware of focusing issues before buying this camera.

Canon refuse to acknowledge or fix. This guy's a bit of a freak but still shows how they deal with the issue.
@syousef: seems like all bad reports originated in Germany? Could it be a batch problem that now have been solved quitely by Canon?
I'm seeing threads from America and UK as well as Europe. The first Video that shows the problem wasn't taken with a German issued 70D.
@syousef: Im pretty sure it is a QA problem and not widespread. I don't have problem with mine paired with Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4.
How well have you tested? It definitely isn't all cameras but what I've read indicates it is wide spead and Canon won't fix it.
@syousef: Yes, I used Focal auto-testing.

@cheapo999:
glad youre is ok. I won't take the gamble
No-one needs that 18-55 lens, it's pretty much junk. While it's usual for really long zoom lenses to have a variable aperture range (ie: the minimum aperture varies as the zoom length varies), it's always a nuisance for photographers and absolutely unjustified in a lens as short as this one. I tolerate it with my (then, circa 2006) $11,000 35-350L lense, but an 18-55 with f3.5-5.6 is just pure junk.
The warranty is only 1 year on Dicks website but everywhere else is 2 years.
Can someone please confirm…
Canon warranty is 2 year for dslr.
