Saw this in today's Herald Sun (VIC), looked like a decent deal for new, petrol and 1 year warranty.

Thats the official term for a whipper snipper. Same thing.

Whipper snipper is the nickname for a line trimmer.
Harley Bennell…. He's a line trimmer.
whoosh
I'm assuming this is the one in the ad: http://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-2-stroke-petrol-line-trimme…
Doesn't seem cheap at all to me. $50 would be a bargain.
Yeah don't expect much from this line trimmer.
Based on?
Same ad in The West.
I got a Ryobi one from bunnings for $99 with a battery 36v for $99, they price matched Aldi's offer for some reason.. best buy by a long shot!
And a year on it's still working awesome!
i also have a ryobi electric line trimmer from bunnings but i find that the battery doesnt last long enough for me to do my whole garden and not as powerful
This is not a reason to neg the deal though
What about this one from Masters at just $5 more? - https://www.masters.com.au/product/100503668/wesco-26cc-petr…
$89 hardly seems like a bargain
Looks like Bunnings have had Homelites for $69 before - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123618
Neg+neg=no more neg.

Assuming you know how to properly look after 2-stroke engines and use it within its power range, then it could be worthy. Had my Ryobi 25cc trimmer for about 10 years and only just had the replace one fuel line the other day. Paid about $120 for it at the time :)
Ryobi is a lot better brand than Ozito that's why it lasted 10 years. It's not about cheap price it's about the quality of the parts. Not all line trimmer motors and other parts are made to the same quality.
Would need to know who actually made the engine and carburettor etc. A lot of these cheap chinese ones are actually assembled using fair quality engines and carbs. The quality thereafter usually drops in the fuel lines, and dodgy plastics used elsewhere. As mentioned it "could" be worthy, but would need closer inspection :)
Wtf is a line trimmer? Looks like a whipper snipper to me.
