And sorry jv but I can't find out how much it normally is. I'm guessing around the $5.95-$6.95 mark.

    • Actually what time do stores generally open?

      • 10am for Perth stores

Got the email too. The last time I tried to use a voucher at the Darling Harbour shop, I found the attendant there - an older Chinese lady (my guess is the franchise owner or a relative) to be very surly and not very happy to have to comply. Might walk to Circular Quay instead to avoid the unpleasantness…

    • +1

Last time at Circular Quay they rejected the voucher

    • +1

same story at Camberwell VIC outlet. Older Chinese lady who needs to be talked into accepting promotional vouchers, why even bother.

    • Come to my store, Mt Ommaney. :)

    • I've had the same experiences at Harbourside (Darling Harbour):

On my first visit I met that lady, she argued and refused to honour my voucher. I thought, "OK, I can't see any foot traffic being interested in your shop or you doing any turnover in the time I've been here, I'll just let you get back to that."

On my second visit the shop was inattended (portmanteau of attended and inattentive) by, IIRC, an older man, difficult to remember as the transaction was so distant. Anyway the person was slumped over their newspaper, head not protruding above the height of the counters. I stood at the icecream freezers conspicuously like an interested customer and stared at the motionless figure. "Ahem!" But no response. "Hellooo?" Nothing again. "Do you want to do any business today?" I jeered; no response. Perhaps I should've then vaulted the counter and helped myself to whatever I wanted, but I walked around to the nearest counter to the person and interjected, "Excuse me." A brief conversation followed and my voucher was rejected a second time.

      Should I try again?

      • +3

        Yes. It's the ozbargain way.

    • +2

Lucky me! Reached there at 12:50 … She smiled at me .. took the voucher,,, gave me a mango smoothie and i was off in 4 mins

      • Last time or today? o_0

        • It was last time. Will try again this time :)

  • +2

The voucher is useless and waste of time for some stores. How do you know if they have used all 50 voucher in the store? They can say whatever they want. If the store kind and fair enough, then yes, you got the bargain. Otherwise a waste of time

    • +7

Walk in at opening time then?

      • +2

        Ice cream for breakfast.

      • I wouldn't put it past these types to still refuse the deal.

    Offer valid at all stores.

Doesn't seem to be all stores, some stores didn't honour it last time…

Maybe because last time, it said "participating" stores whilst this time it says "all" stores??

      • Or maybe because some stores have hostile staff.

        Also:

        tikei:

If you go to their fb page, it says all stores are participating. The rep confirmed this.

  • Why do all the food deals pop up during fasting!

    • +1

LOL :p … yer probably just noticing it more because you can't eat ;)

    • +5

Why do all the food deals pop up during fasting!

Why can't you get it and drink it after sunset ???

    • +1

Because we are pork loving, beer drinking, women screwing infidels.

Allow me to let you in on a secret:

No God exists and no religion is true. So don't worry about fasting and enjoy your life. :)

Is it just me, or have the links been stripped out of that pdf? How do you actually get the voucher?

    • +1

Yes they have been stripped, but the link up the top just goes to that page… it's like voucher-ception!

So, the attached pdf is the voucher

      • +1

Oh, ok. I signed up to Club 31 today, and got a voucher with a barcode on it. I thought it would be the same for this. But you just print out that pdf and they should accept it?

  • +1

Oh first 50 customers? Yeahhh !…let me go find my camping chair and tent…

  • Goddammit I love milkshakes.

Old Chinese lady with sulky face makes the best smoothie. Baskin Robbins knows it and nearly all Baskin Robbins stores are run by old sulky Chinese lady.

    • +1

      lol :)

  • +5

Went to the Chatswood NSW one. The one combined with Cookie Man. The not so old lady simply said we don't make smoothie. Full Stop. Complete waste of time.

    • +3

Same happened to me at least they are consistent

    • +1

Same happened to me last time too

  • +1

Subiaco Perth didn't even have smoothies last time either

  • is the barcode unique?

  • +4

    Ozbargain early meet up :D

Got a large shake at Circular Quay. They said they were out of smoothies. Also they opened at 10am so I had to go twice. The shake they gave out is milk mixed with two large scoops of ice cream, you can choose one flavour. Not bad when you have in mind that it costs 10 bucks.

I estimate 20-30 shakes are already gone, mostly by the office people working close by such as myself. Whomever wants to go there hurry up.

  • +2

got 3 smoothies all up..drove around to different shops. 2/3 were filled to the brim, 1 sulky shop owner filled it only 3/4 lol
