Behringer B208D 200W Amplified Speakers $199 Delivered DJcity

50

I posted the 15" deal last night but these are 8 inch version I have had for years. Many people will find these smaller ones more practical. This is a great price too. Much smaller units to carry and store. Still a great sound for their size and price. The 15" are for big parties, DJs and bands. These are better suited to small venues, band practice, home use, kids parties.

  • StoreDJ have the Behringer EUROLIVE B110D for $206.
Is that just the 10" version?

    • No, thatd' be the B210D, not the B110D

    • Jump onto behringers site to see the differences they have a few different models. The pdf brochures are good for seeing the differences.

      • Thanks so much for your comments on the other thread ShipshapeRC.I am debating between these lovely speakers in this deal and the B110D for 206 dollars from store DJ. Same purpose. Simple backyard parties. Will buy 2. What would you recommend. As these 2 are around the same price point i am unsure. Many thanks in advance.

        • Sorry I missed this question. Check the dimensions of the speakers. If you can live with the bigger 10" then you will get more rich bass from them.

        • @ShipShapeRC: Thanks so much . Ended up going with the 10 inch version . You have been fantastic with your comments .

  • Good price

    • Thanks wolf. Have not seen you on here much of late. I used to see you logo everywhere.

      • What can I say? I'm a busy man these days so more work less posting :)

  • Are Behringer really a German brand? They get a lot of flak for ripping off other brands (Mackie in this case).

    • +1

      I think they are.

Regardless, they make about the only acceptable quality entry level stuff. Once you get into the middle of the price range better options open IMO

      • They are a German brand but not German made. Most amplified speakers look much the same to me. These are great price and as MasterScythe says they really are the only acceptable entry level gear. DJcity has some generic re-badged Chinese brands but their quality vs price just does not cut it for me. Behringer is good quality / good price. Sure other brands may have better quality but at much more co$t.

  • It is work well as a Karaoke machine? speaker + mic ..

    • Yeah you could plug a mic into it, would work best with a mixer to play the music, or get the mp3 model and play mp3 onboard and sing along with mic. This 8"stores nicely and would have a good amount of volume. More than you would ever need at home..

      • good.. so with just one speaker will be enough for house karaoke partys? I could get a cheap mixer aswell..

        • That totally depends on how much you like your neighbours. :)

If it's going to be indoors, then yes it'll definitely be enough. If it's outdoors, it'll probably sound a bit thinner. Spread would likely be more of a problem than volume though, if you're in a wide-open area and have people scattered around.

        • Probably. I used just one to perform a magic show on the weekend for 40-50 people in a large open football clubroom. I doubt I even had it turned up to a 1/3rd. This was a voice only show but it worked well. The advantage in 2 is you angle them apart so the sound spreads out more evenly over a wide crowd but I don't how important that is in a house. They pack a lot of sound.

With 2 I have performed in shopping centers which are very open and very noisy for around 100 people. It was about the comfortable limit for a pair of 8"s. Once I even had 1 store owner complaining about the noise and he was behind me, not even in front. But I think he was being overly sensitive. None of the others did who were in the firing line.

  • Need two of these. Can get them for $170 delivered each (albeit from WA). Can you guys match? I'll be picking up from Smithfield.

    • Well don't ask us, we are not affiliated. Pick up the phone and call them though, I found them really easy to deal with and they do say they price match. Where can you get them at price anyway. Seriously awesome price. Please share!
