I had one of these a few weeks ago when they opened a store in St Kilda Road. The Pho comes in a container about the size of instant cup of noodles. It was just OK, and seeming this is right in the middle of the city I think they will be super busy.
There are a million pho places in the CBD and they're all cheaper and better than this chain… except for pho24 that is.
What's your favourite?
Try PHO n ROLL on 585 Little Collins Street, Melbourne between Spencer and King Street.
And PHO024 is NO-NO to me!
@bedrock_101: Thanks will check it out. I like the Pho at Vietnamese Street Eats.
I go to the one corner of russell and lonsdale.
And I heart Pho
I was there on Friday and saw the signs promoting Free Pho however they mentioned a gold coin donation and it was a cup of Pho so didn't think it was worth it. Free is free though.
gold coin donation to what. charity or to the shop owners
Free lining up in the cold for 45 minutes to save $9.
less than minimum wage, no ty
was only a 5 min wait
Mine was a minute wait.
So is this on today (Tues) or tomorrow. No dates mentioned specifically.
sorry didn't read properly.
Phe Phi Pho Phum, I see a deal for Vietnamese YUM!
(Fuh!)
You deserve more upvotes.
getting one pho sure!
I know it's free and all, but I'd rather pay $9 and get a bowl of decent pho…Roll'd = Maccas of Vietnamese food…
Roll'd have good rolls, when they branch out and do the soups it's not so great but still ok, if you are near why not?! but I doubt it will be the full bowl rather a sample or entree size (cup) . If anyone goes please report back.
Just a small cup, free, no questions, though did ask to donate to the charity. Can't say the flavour is something I'd pay for.
Flavour at Rolld?
Never tasted such a thingIt was oh-kay for me, bit of bland flavour. I ordered Beef, bit overcook. But it was free anyway.
This is not the first time Roll'd has given out free food, in fact I have been to more than a couple in recent years. They are pretty aggressive when it comes to marketing and props to them…
Too bad their food is awful
Love it when new CHains market about them selves.
He’s 'the Entrepreneur' with a monstrous appetite for his mum’s traditional Vietnamese cooking.
From what I can savour is that when I walk along an old fashion typical pho shop I can usually smell the broth from outside. I have had pho at my mates place his mom dished up and all I can say is that rolld is all but traditional recipes.
Got 2 pieces of beef in my perfect pho lol..
You could have always re-queue for a second helping once you are done….
Same.
Nope…
