      • Thanks I was searching for a response but couldnt find your one

      • I haven't recieved any info yet. I added a note to seller when i purchased saying can i get the taiwan version in the listing. Even with receiving the HK version i'm not sure how much of a difference it will be? i mean i understand it's got an extra band but i have already have one 550ml HK version and it works fine?

    • What did Kogan have to say?

  • i have just received mine today and luckily its 2.3ghz version.

Have a look at the snapshot of the box

    • Good on you, did you put in instruction to ask for Taiwan version?

      • nop. didnt put in any instructions.

  • They've changed the listing to refer to 1.8ghz processor now

    • But you can still access the old listing if you have purchased this phone before they made the changes.
Everybody is very well covered by ebay. One of my friend called Kogan and told them that he received 1.8ghz instead of 2.3ghz. Kogan denied that they never put 2.3ghz on sale ever. Bullshit
Then he sent the screenshot of the listing at the time of purchase to Kogan.

      • I still havent received a dispatch yet and i've already sold my 550ml… I've gone back and forward with them asking to confirm i will receive the 2.3ghz version so we dont wate time. Im thinking of just going the line of a G3 or something now :/

  • +2

Well i just received my one and its 1.8ghz, didnt bother opening and going to ask for a return

    • Same here, lets see how Kogan respond in the paypal dispute

    • Same here.. I received mine today and it's 1.8ghz. What am I gonna do now?

      • Ask for refund and use the $50 voucher to buy from qd_au.

        • Getting a prepaid satchel from Kogan for return and subsequent refund.
I should expect the refund by Christmas 2016

        • @h0mbre: Kogan offered me 40$ store credit for the trouble to keep the phone and a family member just broke theirs so will use the zenfone till 1+2 comes out :)

        • @tds:

You should ask more because the price difference between the Taiwan and Hong Kong is around $70 for the 32GB version.

        • @tds:

1.8ghz 32gb HK version can be had for cheaper, ask for more than $40

edit: haha just saw comment above, beaten to it!

        • @h0mbre: @superforever: Really? that brings down the cost of this phone to 290?
          i think thats pretty reasonable…

        • @tds:

You bought it during the 20% off, right? Not this deal?

I am just wondering whether people bought from this deal got Taiwan version and got HK version from the other deal during 20% off.

        • @superforever: I purchased in the 20% off deal for 330$ and recieved the 1.8ghz version. I think it was just the luck of the draw

  • I think I got lucky.

Bought during the 20% off sale and it came today. Box says it's the 2.3Ghz version.

Sorry to people to got the 1.8ghz.

  • On a side note does anyone in Sydney-Ryde area want this for 330? (what i paid from the 20% sale)

    • *gone

  • Awwwww I received the fone today and it's 1.8ghz instead of 2.3ghz…. what to do people??

    • See above.

Did you buy from this deal or during eBay 20% off?

      • $50 ebay voucher

        • So Kogan is really random and some got 2.3GHz is just lucky.

  • Same, received 1.8ghz instead of 2.3ghz, did an online chat support and waiting on their email to send a photo of the box. Quite annoyed :/
The order receipt that came with the phone delivery even says CPU Z3580, whereas the box says Z3560 (1.8ghz).

    • the exact same thing happened to me, I received it today and the box says Z3560 while 'luckily' my receipt says it's a Z3580, I have just emailed Kogan about it but I think they would strongly suggest that they listed the Z3560 for sale and put the fault on me

      • You can get a copy of the eBay listing as it was at the point of sale - you just need to use the desktop version. I made sure to check :)

        • I just took a picture of the invoice and the box side by side
they know about this already so shouldnt be a prob

    • Also did not receive the proper Quick Charge adaptor - Kogan has included their own branded 2A charger but it's not a proper Quick Charge adaptor that this model is supposed to come with.. :(

      • I think only comes with the Taiwan version if I remember it correctly.

      • I got lucky and received the TW version from Kogan.
Mine came with both an Asus branded charger (with overseas connections) and a Kogan charger.

When plugging into the Asus charger (using a powerpoint adapter I got from god knows where) my phone detects it as AC (Quick Charge) whereas the Kogan charger is just detected as AC.

Did you get the Asus charger?

        • Only the ASUS one is quick charger, you can see it from the spec on the charger.

        • @superforever: I did try the Asus charger but it didn't show up as fast charging - however I think my battery level was over 60% which means QC wouldn't have been active?
I'll check it again tonight but from memory the output rating on the Asus charger was just a normal 5V 2A, not 9v ~2A?

  • bought during the $50 voucher deal and got the 1.8Ghz, but my invoice doesn't mention processor. Lame..

    • But the listing is still there even if it is ended? Just click back your purchase history in your eBay account you should be able to see the listing description.

      • just has the existing listing listed, with a 1.8Ghz in the title :/

        • Not the one linked here.

How is the link in your purchase history?

        • @superforever: oh found it, no processor in title, but description says 2.3Ghz.
