Aldi has reduced the price of their snow chains and other winter gear.
Sizes as per photo. 4 left at Aldi Fountain Gate (VIC). Better than paying double of that amount for a 1 day rental…

To then be onsold on scumtree for $120 lol Must be a few on there at the moment
Would you put your faith in $15 snow chains?.
They're steel chains… you looking for gold pated 2chainz for swag?
You mean these same snow chains which are banned in parts of Victoria. Doesn't sound like some thing I would place my trust in.
These would be good insurance for someone that has a light/softroad 4x4 and goes camping with it in out of the way places. E.g go into an area to camp, then 200mm of rain falls that weekend. Troubles with the Muddy track coming out. They do work for mud but rip the track a new one.
I remember last time I paid $18 (at Jindabyne ski hire) for a pair of these. There wasn't even snow on the roads but the guy at the shop said even though there is no snow on the road, by law, you must have chains in your car (front wheel) or your get fined $300 or something.
Correct for Perisher. Even 4WD 'should' carry them (even though they don't need to fit them unless it's really snowing heavily, when all cars are stopped). Have seen it snow during the day (fancy that) & people not able to get out of Perisher or Thredbo car parks.
Went to do some research for the son who has a Vic season pass & found these

As most people will have spent min couple thousand for a family if going up for a week, probably stay away from these.
If you need a pair just in case, then roll the dice.Hotham, VICRoads and the VIC Police do not approve of the Aldi chains. For now, these chains are good to go in NSW but a no go at hotham, next year, probably a no go at Falls an Buller…
Don't have the packaging, and they will know nothing.
If you need to hire skies/broad, you will get snow chains for free (Mt Buller)
