Have been looking at getting either these or the 2.1 for a while. Price seems pretty decent, cheapest I've seen was about $1 cheaper.
Don't forgot Cash Rewards for another 4.8% off.

Thanks…
I've heard reviews when i was shopping for Xiaomi Piston 2.1s that they sold legits. Must've gotten a dodgy supplier.
Just email Banggoods about it being fake and ask for your money back or take it to Paypal
Thanks. Ordered. $20.23
Can someone who has owned this comment on how good they are? (p.s, beats owners need not reply)
Who would admit on Ozbargain to ever owning beats?
Thats like saying you pay over 3.2c per dishwashing tablet or you've bought eneloop batteries not on sale.
Unless they were a free gift lol.
Be fair, Beats Solo 2 isn't that bad, in fact decent. Though many people would associate the brand, Beats, with awful sound that they were notorious for. Also spending more than $200 on a headphone would be something not many Ozbargainer would do.
@lamerthanlam: Here is a review done by Tyll on Beats Solo2: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/time-rethink-beats-solo…
Here is a review from Head-Fi by one of the users:
http://www.head-fi.org/products/beats-solo-2-0-on-ear-headph…
Though bear in mind that Tyll likes warm sound in general.
I am not sure whether what you've mentioned is about Solo2 model (the only model that I gave a try after seeing a review by Tyll, other than my brother's old headphone that I despised).
That being said, I don't deny that Beats were horrible, not worth your cents kind of headphone. My brother used to own a Beats by Dre Studio or something, the one that costs $500. I frankly found it to be worse than my headphone which costed me around $70 in total for making (KSC-75 + PortaPro headband). That being said, people hate Beats without giving a try, they stick to the list (that includes M50x, KSC-75, PortaPro, etc etc). That's what I dislike, without giving them a try. I've seen people hyping piston 3 when it first came out etc. Anyways, I should stop digressing.
While I don't deny that the older models (well one technically, but if it's the most expensive one out of it then God help them) of Beats were just flat out awful, at least Solo2 was decent. It's a fun headphone, but it was not OMG, where the hell are everything else and what have you done to the bass kind of headphone that people associate Beats with.
That said, my gf hated it (she has more music background than I do), while I went, it'd be good with pop, hip-hop (the usual list that fun headphones are being associated with).
Compared to what?
I like them, but I like a fun sound rather than a clinical sound
Not as much bass as the V2's.
Great for the $$$ IMO, I use different ear tips as the stock ones dont fit my ears well.
They are "fun", it's not flat. I frankly found the bass to be overwhelming for some of the songs I listen to, but they go really well with pop, hip hop and stuff.
That being said, for their price, I think it's a solid choice (You can muck around with equalisers as well).
Take it with a grain of salt though, the earphones I had were low ends before this and my preferences lie on open headphones.
Bought these from Allbuy. Terrible service, took about 7 weeks to arrive. But they eventually did arrive, and I am very happy with the build quality and sound. Would buy again, maybe not from Allbuy though.
I'm not an audiophile, but by my ears the bass is punchy, the mids are warm with depth, and the trebles crisp and well-defined. Easy to listen to without getting tired. Can't be beat on price.
Are these better than apple earphones?
Yes. Although if you mean EarPods, I hear good things about them, although reviewers don't take them seriously.
They are IEM's as opposed to ear buds, quite different.
Sound quality is good for a 'fun' sound.
Have any ozbargainers rewired these so the volume controls work with an iPhone? My sound magic earphones have a switch to change between iPhone & andoid so maybe it is a case of swapping some wires around?
got the gearbest deal recently for these. great sound. cant beat the value …..have these for travelling and ath-m50x for home…..both are excellent
btw…only con is the inline controls are a bit fiddly.
Worse than the 2.1s? I hate having the pause button on the back - when trying to change volume I keep hanging up on people by accident!
Currently $19.71 (US$14.5)at allbuy https://www.allbuy.com/detail/59736 They have a best price guarantee for these as well.
As mentioned in another post, allbuy have changed shipping carriers so shouldnt take as long to recieve products now.
Picked up a pair when i bought the powerbank from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/197734 and has already shipped so will see how long it takes to arrive.
Thanks OP. Purchased. Now the waiting game…
The Newfrog deal for $19.20 via coupon code is still active as of right now (was previously marked as expired incorrectly).
Haven't even got paid for the month yet, no money, still bought a pair of these headhpones. I am using the Piston 2s now as I type this. Thanks OZB
I own a pair of these that are AWESOME!! but not for iPhone 6 (Volume doen't work and some times if you push touch the connector in the wrong way they pause the song)
