    I researched it last night and it's a HFS+ formatted drive for mac, not suitable for windows ppl, the drive is also much longer than the USB ones given firewire plug. search the iomega part number yourself for confirmation

        I am simply telling ppl about it. Everyone knows how to format a drive to whatever format they like, just that the EMC software bundled may be only for mac, who knows.

    of course this definitely better than the $99 Aldi Alternative as it's got a three year limited warranty on top of the firewire ports.
