Was looking for an efficient heater/cooler with 5 stars energy rating for our master bedroom. Settled on this after a lot of research so I though I would share.

Price is lowest I've seen (aside from 20% off ebay special)

  Samsung usually do cashback offers for a few months of the year. If you can wait til the end of summer then you should. I bought this air con for $750 from the good guys (price beating appliancescentral) with $150 cashback from Samsung so it was $600. Worth considering :)

  I've seen lower. JB had them for $684 for a brief time in January. Prior to that the Good Guys had them for $699 less $125 cash back (from Good Guys, not Samsung). Masters generally have a decent price too, and the 5% sign up code works on them (at least that was the case when I was looking in Feb. $775, less 5% $736, then using 5% discounted gift cards would have been $699).

  Not saying this price is bad, but just keeping people informed.

  I ended up going with Fujitsu a couple of months ago for $1035 installed after cash back.
