THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I've been wanting to pick up one of these since getting my launch Note 4
Been waiting for price to come down, managed to snatch up one of these. Cheers for the heads up!
Any one own this? How much better is it compared to a decent cardboard? How much apps are available?
I paid $25 for a decent plastic version of the cardboard and honestly, with the quality and quantity of the apps available, i felt ripped off.
Decent Cardboard is good fun for 5 min. (Mine been sitting on the shelf unused for 8+ months now)
Samsung VR Gear is a huge step better. I've watched an entire movie on them.
Played DarkNet for 40min+ at a time.
You know that weird feeling when you go to the cinema during the day…
Then you come out and it seems wrong/disorientating that it is daylight.
Taking off the goggles after a decent VR session is weirder x 10.
The apps that come for free with your Samsung VR Glasses are going to amaze people.
OceanRift is the easiest "demo" for people to have a quick "WOW!".
Get a controller to add to the fun. The controls on the side don't cut it long term.
Watching 3D movies on the glasses is surprising good and doable on a single charge.
Some of the real 3d games heat up and drain your battery in about 30 minutes.
Much better than cardboard but probably in tbe same cost ratio
Very enjoyable but you'll need to fork out some more money for a decent compatible gamepad for the full experience. Some of the content is simply amazing and really gives you an insight into the future. If you're into tech and have some spare cash then definitely worthwhile.
There are lots of review claiming that the images/videos appear grainy.
Anyone knows how bad it is from experience?
Yes there is a flywire screen effect which isn't ideal. Don't expect full HD quality but the trade off may be worth it… Having your own personal cinema is amazing. Definitely try it out in store if possible
comes up with 'TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE' and 'Deal on Hold'
