  • Just trying to work out the differences. Does the A6 allow for a HDD to be installed internally? Does the V6 play media files or more of a recorder?

    • A6 is a media player doesn't have HDD. It reads media file from an external HDD of through network share folders.
V6 is a media player and recorder with build in HDD. So no external hdd required. You can also attach an external HDD or read media file through network.

      • So you cant add a internal HDD to the A6? With the V6, it is a recorder, so if I connect a vcr up to it, will it record from the vcr?

        • You are right. A6 is a stand alone media player, so you can't add a internal HDD.
For V6, yes, you can record from your VCR as long as your device have stero Audio outpu, and compsite video output.

  • +1

V6 without HDD is only $99 at earlier post,
so not much of a bargain here?

but would really like an 1080p with HDTV recorder though…

  • Quick question: The website does not say and I'm getting conflicting answers from different sites.
Does it support MKV (Matroska) video format?

    • A6 supports MKV

  • I was just wondering if we could get it for free shipping. since i could see from the link that the product is listed under free shipping.

  • Comparing it to Astone 110D, I have just read on few web forums that Astone 110D does not work with Sony Bravia LCD TVs when connected via HDMI? Has anyone who bought Astone 110D faced any problems? If yes, I will go ahead with the Noontec one.
