    FREE delivery… usual price.. i guess any luggage from david jones or myer, they always sell at RRP, but when they make it 40% off, it is quite similar to any outside luggage retailer price. LoL…

    so, for this post, i give it a + when you mentioned a 40% off deal, but a BIG NEGATIVE when we compare the final price, including delivery….

      DJ's is Free Delivery also, so that argument doesn't stand. There's also 7% via Cash back, not sure if that sweetens it enough though?

      I'm with gandhi28152 on this, DJ offering 40% off makes it the same price as other non-discounted online retailers.
      Easy enough to find someone selling the same item for a few cents less than Bagworld, who you then phone up and get a 8% off price match.
      So the price for (http://modernbags.com.au/product/samsonite-72-hours-55cm-4-w…) becomes $163.70 delivered.
      Meanwhile DJ's have it at "massive discount" for $179.

      I agree with your post. I used the same website when I needed to buy new luggage a couple of months ago. Very fast delivery too.

    If you must buy from David jones you can use entertainment book (cost $65 with lots of other offers) for further 10% off (DJ gift cards) making it a total of 50% off. Not sure how DJ's original prices compare with elsewhere though.

      A further 10% off makes it a total 46% off, I'm quite sure. The 10% comes off the discounted price.
      Either way, this is a common discount as DJ or Myer, and better prices can be had. But combined with the AMEX offer it may not be too bad.

        You can buy DJ gift cards for 10% off through the Entertainment Book. Then use them to buy Samsonite which is already at 40% off. Makes it a total of 50% off. Correct me if I am wrong. In case of Cashrewards you do get 7% back on final sale price paid.

          Suitcase is $100 original
          Discounted suitcase is $60
          You pay $60 using DJ Giftcard which you got with 10% off. That means you are really paying 90% x $60=$54

          So you got a $100 suitcase for $54. That's 46% off.
