I really want to get this but Project CARS has just taken over the position well and truly.

The Physics and force feedback are considered to be much better in Assetto Corsa.
Personally i find Project Cars much too easy to drive which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it definitely feels more arcade-sim than sim and i can play it with a gamepad quite easily but Assetto Corsa i have a lot more trouble with the gamepad, when using a gamepad with Project Cars it appears to have constant auto correction no what difficulty settings you use and it also has a really aggressive auto clutch (it can be hard to even do a doughnut as the clutch keeps kicking in).
This is a really good price if you are after a racing game that is aimed more at the simulation crowd.

    • This makes no sense…
You talk about physics and FBB, yet talk about playing on a controller?

not everyone has room and space for a g27 etc

      • That's why i said "considered to be" as i don't have a wheel (wish i did) to test the FFB in Project cars but you can still get a good idea of the physics when using a gamepad just by the way the cars handle - weight shift, understeer, oversteer etc etc.
I'm not bagging project cars, its a good game, i just feel Assetto Corsa feels more like a sim.

Agreed. I have a racing rig including G27, seat and Oculus DK2. Assetto Corsa is miles ahead. PC just feels like your typical arcade racer, while AC just feels more alive and the cars feel distinctly different to drive.

  • From reviews, it seems Project Cars has a lot of problems with AMD GPUs?

  • rFactor 2 blow both into the water with regards to physics.
