Will pass tonight. $10 off is not a good bargain for overpriced food.

  • I love to see those fight everyday <3.

  • Delivery Hero is a big German company expanding globally. Who owns and runs the competition?

  • +1

My favourite vietnamese also increase their price…shame..back to cooking then

  • meh, no $14 off? Domino's deals become a little better for me today. Sorry DH - no sale this time.

  • +1

$10? they taking us for a ride or what?

  • +1

    bye bye Hero, welcome Villain

    • lol, DeliveryVillain

      • +3

Your postie is going to deliver food now?

  • +1

    No deal

  • So sad that i prepare for DH takeaway tonight. Will get something now with $10 by no choice… if not going back to normal $14+ this is the last order from DH

  • Order Thai food with free delivery again, still cheaper than dining out. 1 main and entree to share is still enough for 2 people (worst case just add some fried eggs). Soon will start cooking at home again.

  • +2

    No

Not doing it tonight. $14 is as low as I'll go. I'm not going to set a precedent for them to start doing this in the future. WE WANT $14 BACK

    • +2

I want the $20 off back.

  • At least TA is still alive and feeding us deals.

R.I.P $14 delivery hero coupon codes though

  • +1

    good while it lasted.

  • difficult for everyone to accept 10 after they've given us 14

  • +4

DH DELETING NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK… scandalous!

  • Good! Was a bit struggle trying to convince myself not to have delivery tonight. Now have the very reason not too.

  • +2

Was great whilst it lasted, thanks for all posts but $10 barely pays for delivery where I am, not really worth it. Probably just as well, getting too fat!!

    • +3

It's a matter of comparing to what else is around. In my area the kebab and pizza places are the only ones doing decent value. I'm not paying $30 for a pizza, sorry. I'm not even paying $15. I'd go back to frozen before I did that….and as I can already get $5 kebabs….where's the bargain anymore? When I was getting kebabs for about $2.50 due to the deal I was willing to wait around for an hour to eat….now not so much.

It's my money, if I wanna cry over $4 then I bloody well will do so. That's my right as an OzBargainer!

  • +5

    No deal for me.
I've got enough chicken tenders in my freezer to last til the end of winter anyway.

    • I've got a bag of prawns and lots of rice mixes, so I'm set here, too.

  • +1

I'll pass too tonight, $10 is not really a deal as most food are overprice plus some place adds $4 delivery.

  • Thanks op pasta tonight

  • +1

So I'm going to be out of pocket $20 for some pretty good (but still meh) Chinese… no deal, rather spend $5 making a steak and salad. Was a good ride while it lasted!

  • +5

back in my day we had $15 discount (old man's voice).

    • +7

it was $20 (in an even more old man's voice).

      • +3

Darn kids these days. When I was a boy they paid you to take their food, and the delivery man walked uphill both ways!

    • +3

Back in my day HJ voucher's were 2 whoppers for $3 (old man's voice).

  • +4

They propb should have started with $10 off when they started the deals, everyone woul dhave been excited… then even more excited when they increase it…

    • Yes they may not have had much foresight.

  • +1

Saving up my $15 off voucher for the weekend ;)

  • +2

    I'll pass. Thanks anyway TA!

Looks like their marketing budget is thinning out… Plus it's a Thurs, they know stock in the fridge is running out so they're testing the market.

  • How come some people are getting $15 vouchers on their phones? what's your secret??

  • Not working, telling me highlighted field is wrong. (voucher)
i type in the voucher removes $10, then after pay/order it says the field is wrong.

  • If you boycott this deal, I'm sure they'll bring $14 off back :)

  • I think we need to boycott DH till they bring back the $15 :D
It'll probably be $12/$13 next time, but resist the temptation till they bring it back up!

  • Oh well… Back to menulog…

    haha poor DH

  • No app for windows phone? I just use eatnow then…

  • +3

I hate how deliverhero allows baiting with the 'from' pricing,..which lists it's cheapest price for smallest pizzas so you have to click on it to find out that a large costs almost double as much.

  • +6

Thanks TA but not biting at ten DH.
    Uh-uh, no way.
Most of the joints around me are overpriced anyway and add in dubious charges for delivered meals.
$10 wont cut it after the run of $14/15s.

    "Helllooooo kitchen, my old friend"

    • Surprised to see you write that since you may be the only one around here who actually tips the drivers.

      • +1

There is a tipping point. $10 is it plus am over take away.
Me, I tip sometimes. Not if there is a big delivery charge but if the driver looks like a decent person trying to earn a crust, sure. I'm sure some others tip too. I cant believe you remembered that!

        • +1

I tip the young guy who works at our local pizza place, he's doin' what he's gotta do! Pizza seems to get here quicker every time too..

  • +1

Good while it lasted I guess. Maybe it will come back?

  • +8

    Delivery Zero

  • From hero to zero

  • i used it and they food didn't taste as good

  • Wow heh I'm amazed at how popular these deals are and it's kinda fascinating for me (hey I'm boring sometimes OK!) to watch them slowly lower the discount over time.

Presumably there must be enough interest still even though customers might feel slightly "ripped off" given the recent higher discount but that's combined with the scarcity of not knowing if they will ever do it again :) It seems like an interesting way to aquire new customers + reach them when you want with further discounts etc. although they must be spending a lot of money on new customers.

  • R.I.P. this DH deal

  • +3

Just in case you haven't realized the mon-thur code is shared on DH facebook page at exactly 4.30pm (sa) time. And if the store hasnt opened yet you can still do an advanced order for the next day….

  • +1

    No Deal tonite

  • +2

With those crazy delivery fee and minimum order, this is it.

    Bye bye Delivery Hero.

Call me back when you have more decent deals.

  • -2

Still a great deal, it's $10 off, free $10. Some are just greedy and want everything free.
It says voucher is invalid Ozbaragined.

  • I was using the deal a lot a few weeks back but just got back from a Bali Trip (thanks OzB $178 return flights) and returned to 2 messages in the app with $10off codes saying 'We haven't seen you in a while"..

I'll save them for a lazy weekend. But still, interesting to watch this deal has lasted so late. Usually they're expired a lot earlier.

  • Eventually they gonna taper the discount day by day but our minds will be programmed to open their app

  • +1

Need a break from unhealthy food anyway.

$10 off is still very good. We've been spoilt.

  • How do you apply the code

    • +4

Step 1: Come for a drive in my DeLorean…

  • +2

I still love the fact their marketing heads thought they could actually generate enough money to cover the costs of the campaign once it finishes for good…

We are OzBargainers! We just move onto the next deal or whatever is cheapest, for me, that's making my own dinner at home for $3.

  • +1

I think they should have $14 off everyday. Where do I join up for the ozbargain lynch mob?

  • +3

I wonder how much Delivery Hero have spent on this promotion, and how successful it has been in getting new app installs and capturing market share from Menulog / Eatnow?

The app is buggy and not great to use, I will go back to Menulog when this promo finishes.

    • I have had nothing but trouble with their app. They are well aware of the problems too.

      • Haven't had much trouble with their app, personally.
        Android Galaxy S3 (rooted).

  • +3

Plenty of OzB commenters on their Facebook page…

    • -1

which one are you TA :)

  • What's the deal with referrals and these vouchers? I seem to be getting referral clicks, but they're not translating into any credit. Ideas?

    • People are probably just curious or they try to use a referral code but can't because they aren't a new member. You can only use one code per order, so it makes no sense to use a $7 code when there's a $10 or $14 code.
