I can totally see why you're negged. Wait no I can't WTF 0.o

  • Thai food again tonight. NO!!!

  • +32

    no more $14?

  • Dinner time

  • +31

only $10 off? Am I too greedy? Nah its Ozbargain! I'm allowed to be cheap… :D

    • +2

      Go harder!
      I want $20 off $20 again!!!

  • +1

hah 28 sec after 5:00pm. I still havent tried this deal since I only get takeaway fri-weekends :(

  • +52

    $10 only!!
Ok not doing it anymore. Bye Bye DH :)

    • +3

You'll be back… they always come back ;)

    • Yep no deal!

    • I am telling my brother it's his turn tonight.

  • +25

    $10!!! Lame

  • +2

only $10 :( was about to do my usual DH order - but not tonight…

    • +9

Bit harsh giving it a negative even though I am in the same position as you.

I received an email from EatNow offering me 12% as I hadn't ordered from them in a while. 12% is ridiculous compared to $10 so this deal is still decent.

  • +7

    They're definitely weaning us off!

  • +8

    Only $10?
    Pass..

  • +7

Huh! Only $10 today. Was expecting $14 :\

  • +17

$10 is not enough to convince me given the delivery charge is often $5.

    Nice while it lasted!

  • +57

They are testing the waters, do not bite if you want to see $14 again.

    • +6

Eh, they have done good by us, and it has to end sometime. My freezer can't take much more anyway.

      • +3

Yes DH offered more than the likes of menulog. I was secretly hoping they end it actually as I can't take ordering deliveries almost everyday anymore. But afraid if I say that out loud I may lose my ozbargain street cred lol

    • +1

Do not bite $14 if you want to see $20 again.

      • You gonna be hungry for a long time then.

        • +3

I'll just eat something else? Haha

    • +3

Pretty sure this is what they want. They want to reach out to more consumers and they can't do that with these promos if OZbargain jumps on the first 1000 vouchers. This way they get rid of the el-cheapos and find customers who will keep using the app even after the promos end. $10 is still a pretty damn good deal - assuming you wanted to get take out in the first place and your delivery fee isn't stupid.

Not a fan of this "we are the majority" mentality that every internet forum seems to have, just look at their FB page comments for this deal from Ozbargainers. They will be fine. Ozbarg is still a very small group of people.

  • -2

HAHAHA everyone blowing up over the $4 decrease. It was bound to happen….smart marketing ploy by DH.

  • +4

gonna skip tonight, $10 is not good enough for me

  • +7

Noooooooooooooo been waiting for dinner, can't afford this.

  • +1

So, the coupon should be 'REGULARNOM' now?

  • Deleted

  • +7

It was fun knowing you DH, may you forever RIP.

  • +10

    United we stand… NO DH

  • $6 for a parma was good, $10 is still cheaper then cooking… for one that is

  • +5

Not going for 10 this time…i want 14 back!!!

  • +18

not sure why i've been negged - but like most punters on here $10 smacks of seeing how far they can stretch the value hunting consumer.
Just like the move from $15 to $14

Agree with varunsic's comment "They are testing the waters, do not bite if you want to see $14 again."

    • +4

you obviously don't neg vote deals very often, the moment you do, people will neg vote your comment so that the vote gets removed. basically means you can't actually believe the voting system here, so you have to assume every deal is actually bad until you've researched extensively. shame really, this used to be a good community

      • -1

        OZcensorship.com.au

        • -2

I actually went to the domain, I was disappointed to find it's empty… OB is becoming over populated…

      • The problem is that people take Negs personally… Which is stupid, it's about the deal, not the poster.

    • -2

There are a lot of gutless people on here that neg without justifying why. Just ignore them.

  • +34

Well, I'm off to tell my family there's no food tonight…

    • I laughed way to hard at this. At least you have delicious internet.

    • I'm off to my wife's family for FREE food tonight.

  • +10

Looks like home cooking is back.

  • +4

nooooooooo :( not worth it now with delivery cost

  • +5

Yes. 10 bucks is not worth it considering most of the places near me charge for delivery.

  • +9

Why not post your grievances on their Facebook page :)

EDIT: If you do, put in brackets (OzB) after your comment so we know you're from here.

    • +1

excellent suggestion! enough feedback and they may just change their mind :)

    • And reveal myself? No thanks. Anonymous all the way.

  • GIVE ME BACK THE $14 deal!

  • +1

    not 一worth now

  • +1

    $10 off? That's crazy talk!

  • Who's still in? sounds like a lot of people dropping off. $14? what about the $15 good old days?

    • +1

Once upon a time, DH gave out 20 dollar vouchers..

      • Really - different era I was not aware of!

        • $1 marinara delivered from my local pizza joint.

    • +1

      What about those $20 days?

    • I'm out. $14 gets my nice dinner to the $10 price point. $10 gets it to the $14 price point, which is less cost justifiable.

  • +1

Only $10? Oh well it was good while it lasted. Fortunately I wasn't going to be home tonight anyway, so now I don't miss out on $14 discount :)

  • +1

I promised the kids pizza night so they get my business even with only $10 off.

    • Try dominoes. Their vouchers are usually very good value.

  • -3

Such a doggy strategy will certain drives the regular customers away, the voucher value is decreasing after few days, not much people can stand for the $4 reduction humiliation.

Anyway, going to order Thai food now…

    • +4

I thought it was more a catty strategy myself.

  • +2

it looks like they burn out the money.

  • Anyone else get a $15 voucher sent to them through the app?

    • I did last Sunday, I used it the same day.

  • I'm out! This is an outrage!

  • +1

nah….no DH tonight..might as well order Dominos Pizza for tonight.

  • +5

with the delivery fee around $4-$5, this $10 off is hardly attractive…

  • +3

Not buying. Two tiny pizzas (and I do mean tiny) were $20 delivered last time. Back to Domino's deals I think…

  • +2

got to say I enjoyed the discussion a lot.

  • +2

lol, bye bye DH… guess this is a kind of your tactics to get people addicted ordering from you and reducing the discount until no discount one day…

  • +21

Complaining when the deal value gets reduced is a jerk move. DH has been really good to OZB.

    • +4

      I'll +1 you, even when the other's wont. #ridewithyou
No seriously, even $10 off is like free money. It's either this or nothing… and without this deal posted, were would you complain?? The forums??

  • +1

Where is the $14 DEAL ??? not worth it now.

  • +1

The pizza I order charges $10 for delivery.so this is as good as free delivery.good only if its raining buckets,I suppose…..

  • +2

Thanks OP. Seriously have major doubts about DH's strategy though. Must have cost a fortune to date, and I would suggest could have been better spent.

    • +1

Notice they're bombarding most TV channels right now. Seen them on at least 3 free-to-air stations since 5pm.

      • +1

I think the strategy is good. I have mentioned DH to several people and I never purchase based on TV ads.

        • +1

Me, too, acticmonkey. I've definitely given them word of mouth advertising.

    • +1

There strategy is to build up users of the app. Now we have all used it, and it is easy to use, we might just use it agian in the future next time we want delivery, instead of searching around through some menus.

      • +1

If I can buy 3 kebabs for $6.30 again like I did with the $14 deal you bet I'll use it even if it does take over an hour. 3 for $10.30 is still good value, but not worth the inconvenience unless I'm craving kekab. I can get $5 kebabs any weekend at Parklea markets and they taste better.

        • You live in a nicer place than I, we have one kebab shop nearby and the best we ever get is 6 buck Mondays, which only entails a (usually below average size) lamb wrap, no chicken or mixed option either.

        • @TheDukeOfNukem:

Well I have more access to kebabs. How nice the place is I'll reserve judgement on. Btw are you sure it's lamb not beef?

        • @syousef: Yeah brah! Never actually had a beef one, better or worse?

        • +1

          @TheDukeOfNukem:

I'm not a lamb fan, so I'll take beef every time.

      • +1

Yes but they should have clearly realised that it was mostly the same people using the deals everytime. Poor targeting. Bad ROI.

    • +5

I was thinking maybe they were trying to buff their stats to build their restaurant clients.

  • Back to Dominos. Any coupons out there?
