Can I play League of Legends with this?

    • No this keyboard is only for first person shooters.

    • +7

With this you can play any game except for League of Legends

    • There all lying to you. The only game it does play is lol

    • Dota and hon only, lol is not compatible

Geez… $255 for a keyboard? For that sort of money, it had better have a hidden hand that comes out and 'pleasure' me while I'm using it!

    • +1

      why hidden? :P

    • +2

How is this not a "full" mechanical keyboard?

      • -3

all function/macro keys are dome based disguised as mechanical

        • +4

No, they're mechanical. The media controls on the other hand, are not.

        • Those were with the old models that Corsair had.

          @Giteau:
ohh my bad, i got the k70 instead of this, so thats what they had when i was looking around.

only issue is that the top F keys are closer then standard and the bottom row isn't standard if you get key caps.

        • @tuzii: Yup, that's another bad thing. If you wanna replace the key caps, they end up looking weird. So you see heaps of people on the internet have these Corsair keyboards with weird looking key cap layouts :)

        • @Giteau:
yeah unless the kit comes with blank 1x1's for the keys

        • @Giteau: Curious, why would you want to replace the key caps?

@Wonderman: Just a little bit of customisation some people enjoy. Such as what's seen on this homepage :
          http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/

Very popular on Massdrop as well :)

Hefty amount to drop on a keyboard.
Also has a non standard sized bottom row.

As for MX Browns, they're good switches. Nearly the same as Blues, but with no click and are a tad lighter.

Haha wow, so overpriced. If you want to spend a bit of money on a mechanical get a Ducky. Who is going to use 18 macro keys? Honestly.

  • Up until a few weeks ago most Corsair RGB keyboards had major issues with Steam and the control software crashing/freezing. Not sure if these issues have been resolved but it's probably worth looking into before dropping serious coin on these keyboards:
    http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=133460

The issues were noted back in September 2014 and have been ongoing since.

    • Corsair really half ass the software side. Link is rubbish too.

      • Corsair Link looks good in theory, but as you said they seem to half-ass any software they put out for their products.

  • I want this KB. Love the larger set of macro keys…

Too bad it is way over my budget…

  • Can't stand browns personally, makes the keyboard feel like it's got sand between the keys. Looks like a good deal if you're happy with them though.

  • So uhhh did corsair get act together with their dodgy back light burning out in the first few months? Sure would hate to pay $255 for a horrible keyboard… Already got burnt with the k70

    • They have a two year warranty. Have you tried returning it for a replacement? From memory it was the K70 and K95's with the blue LED's that had the dying LED issue.

  • overpriced, even with sale it is still overpriced.

  • So I bought one last week, been using it a week and find its great. First one I got had a dodgy space bar switch but got it DOA.

Yes I won't deny its expensive, but I'm expecting this keyboard to last me 8+ years (my g15 still works 7+ years on).

Browns are great. Initially wasn't too fond as the feedback felt a bit weird, but after using it for a little while I prefer it to reds. Bought some o rings for it and will install them when they arrive.

Fingers crossed about the LEDs lasting over 2 years, they redesigned the LEDs over the non RGB versions to minimize static discharge.

One of the things I was looking for in my keyboard was easy to clean (yes I hate having hair and shit stuck under the keyboard. I even used to wrap my old g15 up in a tea towel and touch type). This keyboard doesn't have a pit that the keys sit in for crap to gather, you can simply brush it out. Build quality is exceptional
