  Shame it doesn't work on the regular V6 or V6 animal. Cheapest the absolute has been available was via amazon @ $550 AUD. I'd say local stock + the toolkit still makes this a bargain.

    My gf said that she thinks that my DC59 is as powerful as the dyson vacuum that her parents own (though be fair, her parents' dyson is fairly old).

    So at least I think the handheld ones are alright in terms of suction power.

  No DC59 tools available. Only advertising tools for the V6 model.
  Only bought mine less than 6 months ago!

      Somehow doubt it.
      When I searched my serial number on the website it said model not found.
      Guessing it would have given a list of V6 tools available if they were compatible.

        It's the same. Just repackaged, the tools have not changed.

        @AznMitch: Yes but they have packaged it into 5 V6 packages to suit different customer needs. There is the V6, V6 Animal, V6 Motorhead, V6 Fluffy and V6 Absolute.

        V6 and V6 Animal are the DC59 and DC59 repackaged and recoloured, nothing else has been added or removed to them.

        V6 Motorhead has just basically a 75% more effective main head than the V6 and V6 Animals head. It can do both types of floors but more on carpet specialist. So for people aimed for mostly or only carpets.

        V6 Fluffy has a main head just for hardfloor, its direct driven and again more affective then the V6 and V6 Animal head. So for people who have mostly or only hard floors.

        V6 Absolute has both heads from Motorhead and Fluffy as well as an extra filter.

        The new heads are not available to be bought seperately.

        If that's what you mean, I read it as in they meant Dyson changed the tools completely.

        @AznMitch: Unfortunately even if you could get your hands on one on its own, it wouldn't fit in a DC59 as the connection port is different.

  I think it may be better to buy it from David Jones at the moment, i mean its 20% off makes the V6 Absolute $720 if you combine the Amex promo and Gift card promo, it can be had alot cheaper and your eligible for the accessories.
