These lagg insanely with iOS 7.0+

I would suggest getting a low end Android or even a Nexus 4 if the Refurb deal comes back from Expansys. But seriously, this is insanely bad with iOS 7.0+ a lot of crashes too.

  • No Deal, Bad OLD phone at an expensive price compared to many other newer and just as simple to use phones. and You don't know what the old phone has been thorugh, refurbished out of defective phone at an expensive price.

    No Judgement on iOS,

  • I STILL have an iphone4 (work phone - tightasses wont upgrade it) - its not bad to be honest though for business purposes. Still does email, internet etc. smoothly even with latest IOS - been used every day and still kicking along nicely. I can't tell you how it would run games as I don't use it for that - apps load slowly but once running are fine. Battery is not as good as it used to be but it is 5 years old.

  • Hmm maybe good for grandparents/older people. They're using Android.

I've got an iPhone & Galaxy- and I still can't get over how wrong Android have it with the fundamentals/intuitiveness (ie make a call, send a message etc).

Interestingly how many are returns of any fault or sold after 2 years of contract.

No judging the deal, but there are few points worth considering:
    * iPhone4 was released in 2010, so it is obsolete hardware and using old software.
    * Normally battery lasts for 2-3 years. These phones may still have old batteries and that will be an issue very soon. If replaced then duplicate battery which is not good either.
    * The software, if using iOS7 or 8, will not be a wonderful experience, that iOS is famous for.
    * Buying for parents may not be good idea as they will struggle with lag. Any windows phone of same price will give better experience of minimal use by seniors.
    * No warranty or max 3 months warranty. That means you are testing your luck.
    * If refurbishment is not done by Apple then Best of luck.

If some one wants to try iOS , please buy second hand from your friend. You don't want your first iOS experience to be your last iOS experience.

As a user of the iPhone4S for work, avoid these like the plague. The text entry is incredibly laggy with iOS8. I use WhatsApp, FB Messenger and Chrome for browsing and the delay (of up to seconds) in typing into input boxes is astounding.

Almost like Apple intentionally designed its OS to run terribly on an Iphone 4S…. Who would have thought.

  • Omg talking about slow old phone it's not even brand new or 64gb, if this was brand new iPhone 4s then probably yes.

  • iPhone 4 on iOS7 is a dead phone!

  • too expensive…They are worth about $99 now max

  • Way too expensive, worth about $20 - $50.

Working 32GB models sell between $100 - $170 on ebay depending on condition from what I can see.

  • I have seen 4s's for this price, but still overpriced, my quad core Huawei y550 that cost me $40 is 50x better than this

Better off with a Samsung Galaxy S3. Bought mine for $200 like new on eBay at the start of the year and it's awesome. Since having an Android, will never go back to restrictive and proprietary Apple phones.

    This or 3210?

  • thanks for the sharing. but no deal at all…

  • 4 generations old now. Not a bargain by any stretch.

  • still overprice for such old second hand phone. If anyone desperate enough for an iOS device, better get it from gumtree.

  • Why why only let us know now? Let us know 4 years ago please!

  • My mother in law started to piss me off, so I gifted my old iphone 4s to her… She was nice to me since.lol

    • Sounds like she finally has something to hold that pesky door open.

  • It was a good phone. The only phone I lined up for hours to buy.
Why refurbish it? Just let it rest in peace!!

  • I'm negging this deal because its refurbished and who knows what the quality of the refurbished is like. If it was new it wouldn't be so bad, but I still don't think it's a deal.

I think better of just buying a used one in good condition from fb, gumtree etc. At least then you know what you are getting.

  • Waste of money. Sorry.

no deal, the first iphone 4 32gb on ebay is $110, its second hand like these ones are.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-4-32GB-Black-Smartph…

plus another for $118 etc. so $169 is only average/ok price.
