  • Ahh yes the Factory outlet, this should be renamed processing faults store.

I have had a staff card for about 6 months , the only thing you can buy there is factory seconds ie factory seconds clothing might be okay factory seconds food hmm not so good. Thats only my opinion but i wouldnt go back there ever.

normally its about 10-20% off retail price

normally its about 10-20% off retail price

Wow, that's a pretty poor discount for factory second food. I'd have expected a discount of around 50%; a 10-20% discount can frequently be had at your local supermarket.

  • so far, i find that the products may not look good or perfect in looks but the food is perfectly edible and great-tasting.

    • compare it to the retail products, i would say its edible too

so they dont look good and are perfectly edible, hmm i bought apple crumble first was disappointed when it was burnt, tried the quiche boats , nothing like whats in woolworths coles etc

you baked/heated the apple crumble and burnt it or was it already found burnt? i've tried the apple pie, apple crumble, pound cake, pecan danish. they were good!

discounts are more than 10-20% sometimes. eg. the current 5-day sale from tomorrow is selling apple pie ($5.29 RRP), 300g frozen raspberries ($5.49 RRP), custard pecan danish ($5.50 RRP), chocolate swirl and all purpose pound cake ($.49 RRP) for $2.50. i don't usually buy them from supermarkets but i think it is more than 20% off RRP? these are specials on top of their normal (already discounted) factory outlet prices. you have to be in their mailing list in order to know the sales.

    • it was found burnt as was the medera/pound cake

    • I'm going try & pick up a couple of boxes of the frozen raspberries tomorrow - they are hugely cheap. Mmmm, maybe a pecan danish too.

Often the cakes/desserts are sent to the shop because they don't quite look 100% or are slightly underweight - absolutely nothing wrong with them taste wise. Their specials vary from month to month but what I've chosen to buy there has always been at a much greater discount then 10-20%.

  • typo: pound cakes are $4.49 RRP.

  • We might just have to go to Ikea or Logan Hyperdome this week,,, and call in at the Daisy Hill (Qld) store…
