    $0 is too expensive. I'd go for -$5

    Anyway, AV trials are quite useless unless you are already willing to pay for Norton, otherwise you would be using something else.

      It's kind of tempting to send you $5 just to make you use it.

  • Should update title to Norton Antivirus 2012 - 6 Month Free Trial.

    • key good for 2014 version.I've tried

      • still a trial version regardless

      You didn't feel it make your machine so slow and hard disk keep Read/Writing.

        Im no expert but didnt notice that….from what i understand it used to be a bloated resource hog but past 5 or so years its as good as any other

        • Microsoft Security Essentials seem to do an adequate job for me and its free :)

          @moo: hahahahahahahah…..

          no wait…

          bwahahahahahahaha

          @moo: This
          If you have Windows 7, MSSE is more than adequate, coupled with regular scans by Malwarebytes.

        • +1

          @bazzaa:

          It's really not. MSSE is poor at detecting viruses and slows down your computer more than most. Basically, the worst possible combination for an antivirus program. Avira is a decent free alternative and you could easily keep a rolling free trial of Bitdefender going just with the deals on OzBargain too.

  • +2

    Both BitDefender and Norton get good reviews in this year Antivirus review.. but if you're going for a free antivirus use Avira they say.
    Don't use Microsoft Security essentials

  • I just bought a 2015 ver 1 year for $13.30. Aussie seller.

    • You can't get the new version "2015" in Australia or New Zealand
      They sell the 2014 version under 2015

      Norton 2015 http://us.norton.com/products

      Anyway here you get 6 months for free:)

      • Free for new customers. I am not a new customer.

        I rang Norton and they said the latest was 2015 so I'm not sure what you are referring to that it will be 2014.

  • Yes, apparently the new norton is released in "a couple of months".

    Is there any prob buying internet security on ebay for $13.30?

  • $13.30 is good price, no doubt:)

    Good chance to get 6 months for free:) even if I prefer my bitdefender

  • Ok got my 1 year extension from ebay for $13.30 from 'futu' and have loaded and extended my cover, via Norton on the phone to ensure that it was the genuine article.
