The Gold Coast are giving away free trees at The City of Gold Coast Council Nursery situated on Shelter Road, Coombabah, 7.30am to 2pm on each Thursday until the end of May for residents. A display of the January rates notice is needed for obtain your tree. Trees are good mmmmk so jump on board, just in time for Earth day which was yesterday!

"just in time for Earth day which was yesterday!"
lol.
The GCCC has been giving free trees to ratepayers since at least the 1960s, this may be news to OP but not to anyone else.
Pretty sure i heard on the news the other day that GCCC are giving away free fish too to help combat the Ross River Virus Outbreak.
All councils have free trees for rate payers each year..hardly a bargain.
