On Thursday 23rd April, Lonsdale Street café, Country Bred will be giving away free sandwiches from 12pm–1pm to celebrate the launch of its new autumn menu featuring hand cut, gourmet sandwiches all for under $10. Sandwiches include Crispy Pork Belly, Chipotle Chicken, Pulled Beef and the Vegetarian special. My Kitchen Rules twins, Vikki and Helena will be giving away samples of their own Country Bred sandwich creation, which will available for purchase the following week.

Based inside Melbourne Marriott Hotel, Country Bred offers a variety of quality sandwiches, salads and fresh juices made using only the finest locally sourced produce, said Melbourne Marriott Hotel Head Chef, Amit Laud. Melbourne Marriott Hotel is at the corner of Exhibition and Lonsdale Streets, Melbourne VIC 3000. Simply come in between 12pm–1pm and receive a free sandwich from the new Country Bred autumn menu.

    I went. Its f-ed. Wasn't even open at 12.10 and line of about 200-300. I mean how long will the wait be!?

    I went around 12.30. They were pretty organised and the line was moving quite fast. I got my sandwich in 10 minutes. The chicken sandwich (I think it was called Tasty Hen) was pretty good and you could also get a free orange juice or a bottle of water if you liked them on facebook.

    I got there at about 12:30 as well, only lined up for less than 10 mins. Got the pork belly sandwich, very yummy. Thanks OP

    Went passed at 12:10 que was a nightmare…being the ozbargainer I am, went to boost to claim my free bday drink…got back at 12:50 and there was no one at the que walked in, ate and out I went.

    Nice food, great service (think the two chicks were from My kitchen Rules!)

      Went to sumo salad to claim the buy 1 get 1 free and then had an after meal from there

    Saw the two twins from Masterchef, sampled their delicious lamb sandwich while waiting in line and got a free delicious Tasty Hen sandwich! Delicious flavours and even the bread seems 'homemade' and was so fresh! Great service too and super organised. All freebies should be like that! Love it!!

    I went in around 1pm, no lines and the pork belly sandwich was fantastic
