Picked up one of these machines last weekend for a little bit more via a friend's store discount, so this is a very nice price with the cash back!

Loving the Inissia so far. It's nice and compact, but does a good cup of Nespresso. Easy to use, and comes with a nice milk frother. I know some prefer the integrated frother, but since I use the frother very infrequently, I like having them separate.

I like that they come with 16 capsules as well, enough to get you started right away.

    • If you get the starter bundle (which you really should), be aware as one of the backs has a number of decaf flavours. I think it might be the milk one, though can't remember. I think the other one only has one defac flavour.

    • Where does it say it comes with the 16 capsules?
      Must of missed it

      • +3

I believe it's standard with new machines, though indeed it doesn't state anywhere about the included pods. The inclusion was printed on the box itself, and the capsules where in a sealed plastic container inside the box, along with a 'menu' describing the different flavours. I'd be very surprised if this one didn't come with the 16 pods as well, but I suppose until someone confirms specifically, we won't know for 100%! :)

        • I've just got mine!

And I can confirm it comes with a pack of 16 Capsules in the box. It's printed on the box that the capsules are included. That's about $16 value!

Didn't bother to check the flavours they gave but yea, free coffee to start you off!

        • @garfuuu:

its usually the sampler pack, which is one of each of their 'standard' range

        • @SBOB: Speaking about flavours, anyone tried their current limited edition flavour "Monsoon Malabar"?

  • I wonder if they will bargain the price down at goiod guys…?

  • Thats great thanks a lot for sharing TRENT86

  • thanks trent..great find!

  • And like all the low-end Nespresso machines you can't buy without the milk frother, very environmentally irresponsible. I've got 2 now that are just taking up space in a cupboard.

    • +6

If it's taking up too much space in your cupboard, feel free to send one to me. Happy to pay for shipping obviously! :-)

      • Up vote from me, hopefully Marlar is not just BSing around.

      • +5

        PM sent

    • That would make you environmentally irresponsible, no?

    • Marklar, happy to pay for shipping for the other one too :)

EBay it and make your machine even cheaper, or give it away to one of those ozbargainers above… Problem solved

    • Got a Nespresso coffee machine and sold the milk frother on ebay around mother's day, got $90 but it was one year ago. You should try selling it with the original box.

    • I'd hang on to it. Nothing wrong with a spare.
If you've got 2 however I'd sell one.

  • guys, can someone help me in deciding whether to buy this nespresso machine or other available ones like U, pixie etc? Is the coffee quality the same across all the machines? thanks!

    • Coffee quality is pretty much the same across all machines, I believe this one is identical to a pixie internally, just a different case.

Saying that, this generation of machines makes a better quality coffee than my old original Essenza, well worth it!

  • Great price, just picked one up for work. No more instant!

About a dozen left at Gepps Cross

  • +1

just the milk frother from nespresso is $99..

    • +4

RRP, which no OzBargainer in their right mind would pay…

      • Anyone know where to get one cheaply though? Or is the Aldi $30 version good enough? Ours at work is busted, the burn marks are so bad that it's not really that good anymore :(

  • I was going to point out the same thing as madmouse and to be honest its hard to find the nespresso milk frother for sale by itself.

  • For someone that bought this today… does it come with the new ceramic aeroccino, or the older teflon version??

    • +1

Comes with the Aeroccino 3, which Google tells me is ceramic

      • Looks like teflon though…

    • Dunno, I never bothered to open it.

    • +1

Teflon versions are terrible.. We had one which despite cleaning had burnt marks on the bottom..

Aldi version replaced it as it's design is easier to clean (centre stirrer not off to the side) and cheap enough to be somewhat disposable

      • Yes mine gets burn marks too! I'm thinking I might update to this machine.

  • Spot on sbob

I have the same problem with mine and the burn marks.

Replacement + machine good deal for me as I don't currently have a nespresso pod machine

Bought one when these just came out about a year ago nice and reliable units. $100 after cash back… sold aerochino frother for $85… machine ended up costing me $15. Bought proper Breville frother BMF600 for $120 and is miles better than aerochino 3. All up $135 for complete setup

    • Where did you get the Breville? Is it more like a cafe style froth?

      • I don't remember where I got it but they sell them everywhere. It is better bcs it does milk for min 4 coffees at one time and it doesn't burn milk. Froth is better but nothing like proper froth that comes out of my Gaggia.

  • I bought this when it came with a visa gift card.

    Still going strong.

  • Ordered one

Different machine and out of stock.

  • Hi Guys,

How does this compares with Aldi's machine for quality and pods availability/cost?

    • +2

Aldi makes their own pods, not sure if any other brands are compatible. They have a bit of a range to choose from.

There are lots of Nespresso compatible pods available from Coles etc.

I have used both and they are similar but I did prefer the Nespresso for taste and it was a bit easier to use. The aldi one wasn't hard but they had problems with the top popping open. Aldi replaced it.

    • +1

The build quality is usually better for Nespresso.
Have used several Nespresso ones and couple of Aldi ones. Never had any issues with the Nespresso even after 5+ years of use. The Aldi one had problems with the penetrating pins bending (at least that's what I think it is…) causing the lever not to lock in and blast open mid way through the coffee prep.

  • +1

Does anyone know a list of compatible and non-compatible pods with Nespresso (other than the original Nespresso pods)?

I heard that Aldi pod doesn't work with Nespresso machines but Lavazza pod works fine.

    • I'd love to find out too!

Anyone knows of any "Nescafe" coffee pods? (Seems like this brand actually keeps me awake)

    • Aldi pods definitely don't fit Nespresso. Completely different shapes. Not sure about Lavazza.

There are a few brands at Coles that fit, and sometimes they have specials. L'or is one brand.

I know Vittoria do one which is sold at cafes.

Di Bella sell empty caps you can fill with their (or anyone's) ground beans, and insert the filter that comes with the caps. A bit fiddly for my liking.

If anyone's wondering, the pods are really not much cheaper at all in the USA - probably more expensive now with the low AUD - so not worth getting through a parcel forwarder.

  • If anyone is after a Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine I can give you a code to get the mini me for $55 down from $120. Just PM me for the code

  • Is there any difference between the Delonghi and the Breville branding for the Inissia?

    • Nope, apparently Delonghi and breville are now merged and the same company…According to the lady at the shop yesterday when I got my one.

  • I went to the Good guys and got this yesterday. The actual discounted price is down to $188 from $220 or something. This deal is only valid for the blueberry blue colour, which was a limited edition colour.

It's actually nice. I really wanted black but this colour comes in close second! Wife is happy having it on the main table. Comes with 16 pods (14 different flavours)

Now I need to work out a way to buy cheap capsules. :)

The reason I got this one over the office works lavazza one is that it comes with the milk frother. Also the good guys now sell a 'generic' Aussie made nespresso compatible pod for the machines which is half the price of the nespresso branded ones.

    • $149 for the blueberry version (got one today at Lutwyche). You can get Coles brand Nespresso-compatible pods - when on special they should be had for fairly cheap.

  • I got this on Friday and am very happy. Comes with 16 different capsules to try, and the milk frother as described.
The colour is quite ugly (for my taste) but worth the saving. $99 for a Nespresso machine is a top deal.
    Thanks for the post :)

    • I thought so too, but it kinda grows on you. And yea, the savings definitely overrides any nasties about the colour.

    • Agreed the colour is kind of ugly, but I'll live with it for the price too.

  • I got one at Lutwyche today. They had a few left still on the shelf (bottom shelf). Price was $199 on the shelf I think but scanned at $149 plus the person on the register reminded me about the cash back.

It comes with a sample set of 16 pods. Usually $8 or 9 or something for a sleeve of 10, this adds value. Great deal.

Compared to my old Essenza, this one is quicker with the coffee and the milk is hotter. My old aerocinno had burn marks on the bottom so would usually stop part way through and I would have to microwave it.

The instructions it comes with are horrible.

  • missed this by a few days… was looking for an Inissia under $100 with the milk frother

  • Got my cashback deposited into my bank account. Took a week or so.
