World of WarCraft: Warlords of Draenor Collector's Edition - $67 (Was $99.95) @ EB Games

60

Until sold out. I think people are fully aware of this game so I won't bother spamming this page with a heap of dribble.

Manager Special, which means purchase at local store only - standard for EB Games.

Edit
I should mention this is a continuation of a previous post from Azzatron, and while that post had expired the deal is still current. Blizzard recently had a special which generated some interest on Ozbargain so I thought it would be considerate to revitalise this deal - personally I dislike the game but a bargain transcends personal opinions.

  • I find it odd that the game doesn't come with 30 free days of play.

    • Expansion packs never do.

    • With the new WoW tokens, it's essentially free to play, at least for 30 days. I haven't played WoW in a long time, but my toon has enough gold saved up for months of free game time if I wanted to go back. I don't even farm either, it's just gold from loot/questing etc.

      • I would have been the same except most of my cash and goods were in the mail system when my sub expired a couple of years ago. After all this talk about WoW, and the fact I've now started to read a new WoW book, I've taken the 10-day Draenor trial. It's different and I'm lost - so much has changed and I'm not sure if that's good/bad. The new pet battles are fun but grow boring fast.

Doubt I'll continue once I finish the trial so will have to sell my new Collector Editions on Ebay :D

yea, but who is going to pay my rent and do my shopping while i play this?

    • +2

Don't pay rent, don't buy food, epic savings.

      • +1

Is THAT how you get [Epic Savings] to drop? All these years I've been grinding away with a job hoping it would eventually drop.

    • +2

Bah, those are real world issues which need not concern a real WoW Player.

  • Actually i'd love some quick notes on WOW. Last time I played Warcraft was offline maybe 10 years ago and am considering giving WOW a go.

      Dont. slry.

    • It's fun as hell and therein lies the problem. An addictive time sucker. Your house will be a mess, your pets will go unfed and your wife/husband/S.O. will hate you within a week. Highly recommend it. :p

    • SA has a new player's guide.

It's a good game but not addictive like it used to be. Community is quite toxic these days so unless you are 12 or a retard you likely wont enjoy dealing with other players.

I play every expansion for a month or 2 and then unsub. That's enough time to get the jist of the expansion without dealing too much with other players. Actually my sub is about to expire in 4 days time, haven't logged in for 3 weeks.

I've been at it since 2008 and like you, used to play the RTS series. Unfortunately now, the time costs for the game are massive, even if you're not a Raider. I gave up raiding for this xpac and have slowly been weening myself off. You can easily waste hours by doing mundane tasks (especially in the new Garrisons).

That being said, now, more than ever, the game offers something for everyone. You can get geared without raiding (avoiding that waste of time), there's so many other things to do, the trick is to decide what parts of it you enjoy and not to stress about the things you 'miss'. I'd still recommend it but I'd start off with the $5 basic game first and put it on rotation with the tonnes of other games available.

Edit - I should also mention that if you find a 'toxic' community, move. Oceanic servers (PvE generally) are quite good, with large portions being long-term, middle aged players.

      • Thanks everyone for the insight
