is there a warranty on this product?

    • This is on site;
"Your Kogan product comes with a 12 month Australia wide warranty. For peace of mind, we offer 3 and 5 year extended warranty options."

I can only assume they will use this.

  • +2

pretty good offer for full hd and 120hz TV.

    • I always thought that the Hz was related to the power supply.
      Hence 50, 100, 200 in Australia, and 60Hz, 120, 240 in USA?

      • read this:
        120Hz MotionMax Technology
The Kogan 1080p32 Full HD LCD TV features a state-of-the-art 120Hz Full HD 1080p LCD Panel teamed with Kogan’s MotionMax technology, giving you a smooth, blur-free picture with life-like detail.

        • …in America.

      • relates to the frequency the screen display is refreshed. 120 times a second…
when you get low frequency you get flicking (and sore eyes,) high frequency more constant cleaner picture…

not to be confused with frame rate.

        • 120 Hz is the NTSC/US (60hz) standard and will not work well with Australian broadcast TV. You would need to disable the 120hz motionmax feature.

          • +1

@thei: Though in reviews of this it is listed as 100Hz… which would work with Australian TV. I am not sure which information is correct.

  • can anyone find the postage costs?

    • -2

or is pickup available, and if so, from where?

      • +3

50$ postage to my postcode (gold coast), and if you actually bothered to visit the website and read it ReqMan, you would notice that they do not do pickup lol

        • -6

          quit the attitude.
i did visit that page to see the tv, but i didnt go looking for postage/pickup details.

          • +3

@ReqMan: Instead of clicking the link which is called postage, you thought it would be eaiser to write a comment asking other people to check for you? 1 click away.

I am just saying your are lazy.. stop being lazy

            • +3

@massari: Ok kids both points made - lets move on from this - thank you - otherwise delete in order.

  • Do you think they will still have the 7 days guarantee. And is that from the time when the delivery arrives?

  • $58.30 to Adelaide.

I want to know the HDMI compatibility to PC. A lot of Full HD LCD TV actually can't handle 1080p pc signals clearly

  • Nice price!!! awesome deal

  • +1

    kogan??

  • +1

bennyzhou: We have tested this TV connected through HDMI to numerous PCs and laptops and have successfully received 1080p signals clearly with both Nvidia and ATI Radeon graphics cards.

jamesligit: All Kogan products come with a 7 day money back guarantee

  • $58.30 to Brisbane. This is a good deal.

  • Definitely considering getting this.. I'll have to empty my piggy bank out and see but $550 incl. post for a Full HD TV (Which I've use as my monitor for my computer anyway) is not bad at all.

    • specially if the PC is in an area that you can also use it to watch a TV…
dual purpose, I was thinking about getting a 32" just for a monitor as they are so cheap… only other thing i can think of is what are the contrast ratios/brightness levels like…
and how true is the colour.

doesn't say on the site which would make me a bit nervous…. great price though…

      • I was thinking the same thing.

But even though this is a "HD" standard res - does it do say computer res'es of 1900x1200?

        • if i understood ur question correctly, no.

  • I reackon this is an amazing deal. Dad bought one from aldi for 700$ the other week, but for 550!!

Wish I had the spare cash ATM (damm being uni student lol)

  • Very tempted. Could be good for a bedroom tv

  • Full specifications are listed on our website: http://www.kogan.com.au/shop/kogan-1080p-32-full-hd-lcd-tv-h…

The specifications tab is on the RHS of screen

  • Its certainly no Sony Bravia but the reviews are good for what it is, price is good. support an Aussie company. 12 month warranty + 12 month warranty from my Gold Credit card.
I am sold. Definitely pick this one up at 3:00.

Does anybody know if you pay with paypal and if you credit card is linked to the paypal account. So, does the credit card company treat it as it you are purchasing directly. SO, that way you get the insurance and extended warranty offered by the credit card. Or whether you need to purchase things using the credit card directly.
I would appreciate an answer if anyone has looked into it.

    • In my case, the retailer always charges the card direct.

    • don't trust review that easily! ;-)
specially that is a blog, not a pro review!

it do however are one of the cheapest around @ $499 + shipping!
      but adding 3yrs warranty(extra $100) = $599 + shipping
look at Samsung, Sony, they are maybe 1/3 more,
with 3 yrs warranty + bonus?

      • thanks for that. I have a look sony are around $1000. Samsung are listed at 900. Probably get them for around $800 within a months time. However, this one still be $550 (including shipping). So, you still save significant amount of money. I would have definately reconsidered if you want including extended warranty as it is only $200 more to get samsung. It works fine for me in terms of a second cheap tv for the bedroom.

    • it is paypal purchase. coz ur credit card was process by paypal merchant system, not the seller merchant system.

  • Hi Kogan, What is the contrast ratio on this? It does not say anywhere on the product site

    • it will shows you if you click on "SPECIFICATIONS" ;-)

      Contrast ratio

      Actual 1300:1
      Dynamic 10000:1

Sorry my bad not observant enough

*2 i should have see that too… i even went to the page, pretty blatant when you know what you are looking for.

  • Our website has now been updated.
The offer is available for the next 1 hour and 55 minutes.

I'm not buying an LCD till I see 37" with 100hz @ $650 instore or delivered to my house. They are dropping all the time, so I know I won't be waiting too long.

    • +1

I agree, though I still bought one for mum. She doesn't need anything bigger than 32" to replace an old crt….Merry Christmas.

  • Bought one for $540. Lets see how it goes.
pinchies you probably wont have to wait for too long. You can currently pick up Sony Bravia 40" for $1350. So it does indicate the everyone is reducing their prices. The only catch if you wait for too long is that the technology will be too outdated. You can probably pick up Plasma for that price range now. So, then the LED tvs should be quiet reasonably price. In that situation it might be worthwhile buying a LED instead.

    • Trouble is, plasmas die, and my CRT still works ok. We have a Sony crt, and replacing it with a Sony Bravia + free PS3 is mighty tempting, but too pricey for us unfortunately.

Also, I'd stretch to $850 in a pinch for an LED with local dimming, they are //awesome//.

  • Anyone consider the extended warranty to be enough value for $99?

  • what is the cost saving for this offer?? cant find the RRP..

    • You are saving $250 as stated, Kogan import their own branded stock. :)

  • $749 before 1.00, freight dropped also…$56 -> $40 to Adelaide.

  • If you want to save an extra 2.5% try kbuckdisc in the coupon code when ordering

$99 extended warranty on a $500 product, personally I would take the gamble

  • I tried that code and other discount codes and none of them worked.

    • it seemed to work for me, either way it was only a small extra discount (about $13), and even without it still a great buy in my opinion

    This Deal is now over.

    WOW!!

I was very impressed when I received this:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/19051

  • Is this the deal….already posted? Was hoping for 37" HD LCD less $350, oooh yeah…oh well.
    Sony PS3 Slim + Kogan 22" Full HD LCD TV - $599 (Save $350) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/1905

  • waladare..you just missed it. They had a pretty good deal on the 37" here a couple of days ago:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/18953

    • Thanks rogerthat, did see that one….thought at the time something better would pop up, happy to have the 32" for mum. Seeing I need to convince the missus it will need to be a bit better….plus I prefer to buy in-store if possible.
Those 40" sony's are pretty tempting….pity I don't need the PS3….ebay will probably be swamped with them soon.

  • i bought it already, and now you said there's another deal coming with $350 savings ;-(

    • I'd say it's the same deal that rogerthat posted above, ie the 22Inch TV and the PS3 package for $599.
Don't have a use for a 22 Inch TV myself so i'm happier with this one :-)

  • guys seriously splash out another 300 and get a samsung or lg and get your 3 yrs warranty and piece of mind that it will look nice.
i would expect the standard hd panels of them would be better than this.

stick to korean or jap…chinese no good so many poor reviews
