They don't look as nice as the 2.0s I reckon
What's the difference in terms of sound/design between 2.0 and 3.0?
This post sums in up neatly in terms of design changes http://www.head-fi.org/t/760847/xiaomi-pistons-3-0-impressio… TLDR version:
1. Plastic and metal construction compared to aluminium only
2. Changed drivers from beryllium to titanium alloy
3. Smaller nozzles
4. Vented at the rear
5. Redesigned remote control buttons, all three on one side rather than two volume keys on one side and call button on the other
6. An overall more compact packageIn terms of sound I tend to take manufacturer's claims with a bucket of salt and see what people have to see about them. In particular I like ljokerl's from Head-Fi's reviews http://theheadphonelist.com/. I find that I agree with what he describes in his reviews to be agree with what I personally hear from the earphones I've tried that he has tested
Oh and a 2 inch longer cable
Good review, I already ordered the 3.0, I might actually order the 2.1 since it's a different design. Would like to try both, it's only $20-$30 compared to what we spend on OzBargain lol
Also, the mic/controls are on one side rather than at the split in the middle. It hangs next to your mouth (like most other headsets) instead of under your chin.
I have found the no.2 for around $US18. Is that the normal price?
I'm assuming you're referring to this http://www.ibuygou.com/p-original-xiaomi-piston-earphone-upd…. It looks like they have marked down to the official price now, and that seller is on the list of genuine sellers here on Head-Fi http://www.head-fi.org/t/735775/the-xiaomi-pistons-thread-2-…
Do tinydeal sell genuine Xiaomi's?
Judging from this Head-Fi thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/735775/the-xiaomi-pistons-thread-2-… they do sell genuine 2.0's, no confirmation for 3.0's yet. I haven't received mine yet so I can't confirm
Is postage time expected to be the same as Ibuygou (20-30d from Chinapost?)
Should be I guess. I've bought lots of things from China before on eBay and Aliexpress, generally takes 3-4 weeks to arrive

Tiny deal offer very cheap express post very reliable company bought plenty of them unlike dodgy gearbest stay away from them.the mail arrives in a bit over a week
Reviews look good. I wonder how they hold up to my Soundmagic e30s.
Soundmagic are an excellent headphone, I'm still spewing I lost mine. I now have some ostry kc06a, a little bit more than the e30s but all I can say is wow. I had some klispch s4II before the ostry and I thought they were pretty good, but they don't compare the slightest. the ostrys come with 3 different tips that deliver 3 different types of sound, I prefer the ones with the orange ring in the middle. They are a warm lively set of earphones that are worth every cent.
Awesome, will pick up a pair when I get the dosh.
Ive tried about 10+ IEM's in my time and its absurd how much better the kc06a are the all the others ive tried, even the M-Duo which i thought was 'the best'. They are my IEM of choice.
Cheaper here? $22.39
