    thats a really good price…considering you get 3 yrs warrenty and an xbox elite. sell the xbox for like 400 and you just got yourself a 42" full high def tv for 1300. cant beat that.

      No doubt it's a good deal, but Sony are also doing some great deals too. You can pick up a 46" 100Hz LCD for $1800-1900 and get a PS3 which will also fetch at least $400-450. They've also got a 3 yr warranty promotion. More choice is better though :)

    It probably comes down to this out of Sony & Sharp, which of these LCD is made in Japan ?

      Sharp = panel made in Japan, TV assembled in Malaysia
      Sony = panel made in Korea, TV assembled in Japan

      Have the 32" version of this Sharp and it's great for games (low input lag) and 1080i/p sources.

      Cons are channel switching (DTV tuner is slow) and inbuilt speakers have no bass.

    Honestly, this seems like a pretty good deal, especially over the Sony. While the picture isn't necessarily better on the Sharp, the backlighting is. I'm still yet to see a current gen Sony that doesn't have dodgy bits all over the screen due to those hot cathode backlights they use. Would rather the free ps3 though! :)
