This movie was utter shite. Whereas the first one was a tight action packed martial arts movie, this one was a 3 hour slog of a badly written drama with a few action scenes.

Wait until Hollywood remakes it into their own style. One bad example is the remake of HK movie Infernal Affairs into The Departed.
The Departed is a bad example. It's quite a good film and there are much worse remakes.
I thought The Departed was better than Infernal Affairs, it was easier to follow and there were less scenes where you had no idea what was going on.
I agree that this sequel was most disappointing - a lot of bad dialogue and not much fighting. The first one was pretty much all martial arts action.
