Looks like the Jims Antenna 5 years for $125 deal is still active:

    http://www.jimsantennas.com.au/icetv-family-friends-offer/

Use code JimsSubscription for the following:

    • 1 year for $49.50 (5 devices)

    • 5 years for $124.50 (5 devices)

    • Lifetime for $99 (1 device - 1 x Altech UEC 9600T/Q, Beyonwiz T3 or Humax 7500/7510 recorder)

    • When I got the ICE email this morning, this was the first thing I checked was still active.

  • "Your account will expire on June 21, 2019 (in 1560 days)."

I don't think I need to top up, just yet.
    ;)

    • LOL, couldn't help mesself, now 2615 days!

  • Good one dough

  • Worth holding out until one of their better deals come around again. You can usually hang out until they do a cheaper deal by the year, instead of dishing out 5 years in advance? That's a lot of $$ that you could use on other bargains in the meantime. Heck, even buying 1 year and holding onto the extra $100 for four more years at 5% interest rate will give you a $22 saving.

    • Care to elaborate on where you're getting 5% interest rate???

      • Leave it in a 100% home loan offset account or lump it in with your other term deposits, if you are in the positive.

        • Thanks! I'll get the time machine out and roll the clock back to 2012 :)

        • @singlefished:
Are you saying your have a home loan with a sub 5% interest rate? If, so I'd like to know so I can look into re-financing mine. :-D

          @peteru:

          http://www.ratecity.com.au/home-loans/best-mortgage

just leave your ozbargain membership at the door on the way out please….

besides that, you can't change a term deposit without significant penalty and leaving your $100 in a mortgage offset account only reduces the amount of interest you have to pay, and if you spent the "theoretical" $22 saving from your interest reduction you'd effectively wasted your time as you still need to pull the $100 out from the offset account and supplement that with an additional $22 of "real money" to buy the ice tv membership in 4 years time….
