We've had the same ones for years too, I think we've only dropped one (and from quite a height!) and lost it. The rest are still going strong :)
@krazynayba: I dropped it once into the sink landed on a plate. Surprisingly the glass survives but the plate is broken.
Putting the Aldi ones through the dishwasher results in water going into the air cavity… nice dirty dishwasher water. The Bodum ones have a better valve that means no water gets in…
