  • Good deal but if you just want the cheapest wireless-G usb adapter, you can get a EDIMAX USB 7316UG for $12 @ msy.

    • Would you know if you can put another antenna on that Edimax?

    • I tried to buy the 7316UG yesterday at MSY, but they were sold out. And they (the Ultimo store) don't answer the phone or publish stock levels on their web site, and are pretty bad about answering emails …. so lots of potential to waste time trying to buy something they don't have just to save a few dollars. The $16 inc delivery was the better deal, IMHO, at least when it was available.

    • Dude, this is the standard Wireless G adapter. Wireless N are the high-speed models capable of 300Mbp/s (theoretically).

  • +1

but i think for 3 dollar more delivered.. sounds good ;)

  • Damn, sold out.

  • I've used these. Highly recommended and picks up signals better than Netgear WG111 model.

  • Sold out :-(

    Thanks for sharing though!

  • Yup, good deal alright! I grabbed a couple of these myself! :)

[update] Mine turned up today (10/11), both working flawlessly! I'm really happy, recognised natively under Win7, nil issues! There's at least two cat5 patch leads I can get out of my house now! :D

  • bugga got 3 and 2 of them were faulty… not happy
They were also all not new and had been opened before.

  • +2

I receive mine yesterday and the box was not new, upon opening it, you can see these are secondhand, when I took the USB out the case fell off, I put them together again and tried it and it didn't work. What a rip off. Obviously these were returned items and not new as stated. This 1saleaday have screwed up most of the purchases I have made, the Sandisk mp3 player, the free remote car, and now this. Really, do they even deserve to sell at all? Now I have to email them and waste my time corresponding with them. I should have just bought a later model product at $35 near my place.

  • Just got my replacement ones, also noticed they have deleted their post on this thread which clearly stated please send my order number and we will offer replacement…

The 2 "new" ones I got today clearly were not new again and one was faulty again.

    COTD all over again!!

Dont they have to state if items are refurbished.

  • My response i just received.. what a load of bs.. the items inside the boxes were opened and damaged..

    Hi Matthew,

I hear your frustration and we’re very sorry about this. We purchased brand new units from our supplier and he’s assured us they are brand new and we paid brand new prices for them. We spoke to him about the packaging and he said due to bulk shipping some boxes might be a bit damaged. After your email I’m going to get my boss to contact our supplier and blast him for this. Please could you send the units back to us via our reply paid number below and in the mean time so you’re not out of pocket anymore we will refund you for how many units you want to send back. Please email us a number and we’ll refund you right away. Hope this makes you happier.
