Yep…1Tb for $us40.
They're not bad, but you'll often need a backup account as well
Sorry, fixed.
Update, ends 3pm 26/2 AEST.
Why on earth would you pay this when you can purchase unlimited plans for about 5 times less.
Still less if you buy unlimited Giganews where you can expect a 100Mbit pipe to be fully filled all the time.
Surely if you don't want to have a permanent Usenet service it still makes more sense to subscribe to unlimited for 1 month as you need it … though granted maybe I'm not seeing something that you guys are.
this is a one time fee, not monthly
Um … yes that was what I assumed.
I grabbed a 1TB block for $35 back in 2013 - lasted me 6 months. So depending on your particular circumstance - a block can save you more money than paying once a month.
I managed to jump on the $65 yearly fully unlimited account from these guys and it rocks
Makes sense now :)
Watch out for Newsdemon … occasionally they run a special where you pay $5/month unlimited. Nice part is you can let the service slide (not pay) and then resume again without making a new account - and you still pay $5 :)
Whats the retention like, I signed up with supernews and their 2000 day retention is a sham, all incompletes after 500 days.
DCMA takedowns usually
Actually that's why I signed up with them after leaving Astraweb, they're excellent for DMCA takedowns in comparison.
Absolutely nothing however can be repaired after 1.5 years across the board.
Remember, if you're buying this as a backup block then note that it is a Highwinds Media reseller. Newsdemon are also use Highwinds Media so if you're with Newsdemon this isn't a good choice as a backup block (see map at http://i.imgur.com/Clg4x.png for more info)
sure that shouldn't be 1tb?
