Just bought one of these, I wouldn't have recommended it as I couldn't work out how to boot into android (hold + vol with power button on start) and play store in android wouldn't work (fix now provided). Seriously a great toy, great screen, screen touch calibration seems a bit off in windows, just wouldn't trust it with CC numbers, spy ware likely, USA and china.

        • You can pay in USD and not use their conversion rate, not saying PayPal would be better though, :) guess you got a pay for those electric cars some how.

        • @Gusper: what, a $100k base price isn't enough? :P

        • @mr kindface: Your looking at it all wrong $135k to be as fast as a Ferrari worth $500k, and you and 4 other mates get to enjoy the ride, now that's a real ozbargain!

        • @Gusper: Google
          and No.

  • Ok price consider it's about $125 in China, bad AUD…

  • Got the X89 version with the ipad mini 2 style screen… That was about $180US with courier delivery from memory.. Got the windows only rather than dual boot. IMHO 32gb is a bit small for a dual and would go for a 64gb variation.

    • I agree it is better but for a toy I would rather save almost $100AUD. I can justify $150 (when AUD vs USD was better but not $250AUD. Plus it has micro SD for expansion. Its not like a limited iPaddle.

  • how come it written windows NOT activated in one of the pictures ? http://image1.geekbuying.com/content_pic/201501/201501201753…

Does it comes with genuine activated windows? I am thinking should I get a meegopad , pendo from coles or something like this one….

    • Good question just checking.

    • Windows 8.1 with Bing is a free operating system, so there is no point in manufacturers pirating it.

      • it is only free to tablet under 10 inch, so this can be genuine.
I am looking at this one as well, it says include windows 8.1 with bing

        • Man you almost had me worried, then I realized it's a box only not a tablet with a screen. Few!

      • That was my thought that's why I never checked. Yes says windows is activated, probably the screen shot was before someone signed in with a dumb outlook email address they just created.

    • Yeah it definitely comes with a genuine activated license of Windows, but the Meegopad does not.

  • Never seen a dual boot tablet before…. Are there any dual boot tablets in name brands??

    • There was one, well it was more of a convertible laptop, called Ativ Q by Samsung. It never got released. It has rejected for the production. The official reason was due to copyrights issues with the dual booting systen. There are rumours that surrounding why it has been cancelled, however. They range from MS or/and Google pressuring Samsung about Dual OS or copyrights issues with the design.

There was also something called Asus Transformer Book Duet, which was cancelled as well.

A read about Google and MS stopping dual boot on laptops.

      • That's a real shame. It seems like it could be a very cool thing. Not sure how it would cause infringement issues it's just a piece of hardware. Any way I guess I'll have to read the link to find out.

        • +1

I was editing it, oh well. Bad grammar never killed anyone… as far as I know.

Google doesn't like the idea of Dual OS apparently.

I've read an article, more like an analysis, on this issue in Korean. It basically was saying that Google doesn't like the idea of laptops being able to run Android. Google is trying to go into laptop/netbook market with Chrome OS.

        • @AznMitch: chrome OS laptop wont be a great buy until they launch the promised function of running android app

        • @uccoffee: Hmmm, but if you create laptops with android, it basically would take over Chrome OS market. Also, didn't they start allowing Android apps to be run on Chrome OS laptops?

        • @AznMitch:
only a handful of Android app from the Chrome Web Store. kind of a official demo only , thou unofficially yes , hopefully will be official for all apk soon, or a better way to convert.

  • would not buy from these crooks again. Sent me a cleary used and damaged tablet. after it had been returned they accused me of damaging a tablet I barely touched. they kept $25 as a restocking fee….
oh yeah 3 weeks after paying they post out the item… they will til after the paypal dispute period to do a dodgy. Crooks!
